A large restaurant beer hall in a small industrial area south of the Isar. We visited on a Thursday lunchtime and there were only a few people in, giving us a good choice of tables. The brew kit is visible behind the bar, and the main room is decorated in a traditional Bavarian style. We were presented with the menu and asked what we would like to drink. I asked for a small glass of each beer, but unfortunately they had had a problem with the brews of the dunkle and the schwarzbier so I only got to try the Helles, Pils and weisse, which were good. We ordered a Schweine haxen and a quarter roast duck. The haxen was tasty and crispy, the duck was a tad over cooked. There was a lot to eat so we declined dessert. The bill was very reasonable for what we had.

5 brews, all good. Best ones are Helles & Schwarzen.

Rather large brewpub for Freising standards situated in a remote part of town, always has quite an empty feel to it even though the decor is nice. The beers (something like 4 regulars and on and off a seasonal) are mostly average at best, the same goes for the food. Service is friendly, though quite often forgets / mixes up orders. Prices are ok at least. All in all this place has steadily gone downhill the last couple of years. Situated next to one of the better Getränkemärkte in Freising though, so if you want to buy bottles, might as well bag the ticks here.

Visited on a Tuesday lunchtime in July ’11 via means of the 623 bus from the HBF (5 mins). Just the 3 beers available on my vist, Weiss, Hell and Schwartz - all decent enough. Coppers on display inside, we chose to sit out front on the patio as the sun graced our presence. Our server was friendly and we chatted about our beer travels, food was also good. Worth picking off if you’re in Freising. Taxi to the airport was approx E21/2.

Nice outdoor beer garden with picnic tables with checkered tablecloths, some covered by plastic. Easy-going summertime crowd. Easy to find while walking around town.

Nice place, an easy drive from the airport, and a parking lot! Big spacious beer hall with a chalkboard sign hanging above the food service window announcing that the doppelbock was on tap. Hell yeah. Had three of their own beers on tap with my wife, along with some sausages and pork knuckle. Our waitress didn’t speak much English, but we were very happy with everything that graced our palates. A great trip if you’ve got the time!

Nice brewpub with good quality food and friendly service. Doppelbock is worth the trip there.
