Amazing. We biked in from south river (over the hill) and sat out in the sun sipping the superb Fremont offerings. A spread inline with the current American movement. Grab a bike and hit the north Seattle trail toward the Pacific. You wonít be disappointed
My favorite brewery in Seattle. Incredible beers. Itís a small scale operation, but these guys are really creative. Plus, their "urban beer garden" is probably the most fun Iíve had getting drunk in a warehouse. Definitely worth a visit!
I really liked this place - an informal drinking area in a corner of the brewery. Staff were welcoming, I got my half pints, beers were good, I would definately go again despite being a bit out of the way. However I started a great crawl from here ending at Urban Family!
Awesome brewery tasting room with a massive cult following. Really spectacular brewing prowess gives them some crazy awesome palates on their beer. A good amount of tap only one-offs makes this a must stop on your beer journey. Dark Star cask treatments were crazy good. All of their hoppy stuff was incredible. No Cowiche Canyon bombers to go, but plenty bombers of Kentucky Dark Star. Glassware for sale. Some growlers were priced at $9 for glass and fill, which was crazy cheap to me. Staff was a bit snotty but lightened up. Tasting flights available/easily identified with a paper "key." Loved it here. Be prepared to get the stare down from the locals if you are there to beer tick. If you want food, looks like surrounding vendors will bring food or you can bring food in. Must be a really cool law in Oregon and Washington that if you serve beer, you have to allow food in if you donít serve food. Love that.
Look, I seriously donít like most of Fremontís beer. However, the brewery is awesome. You come here on a sunny Friday and its packed with young people, dogs, and babies. All the things I love. Its a very friendly vibe. The brewery has tons of space and has made little niche spots. Little bleacher seats, bar seats, picnic tables, around a pit. The crowds never bother me b/c they move the line fast at the bar. Samplers of everything. Randalls and special casks always. I only wish I liked the beer more.
I think itís about time this place gets an updated photo, since they have grown and renovated so much. Overdue, a lot like me rating this place, since I come here often. Great beer, great location near the water. A must stop brewery that I see growing more.and more. Top 5 brewery is Seattle? I say definitely.
What a cool location. FYI, park at the top of the hill and check out the cave troll. Anyways, big open patio. Caught it on a sunny Friday afternoon. It was crowded. Nice draft selection. Friendly staff. Plenty of bottles and growlers to go. I dig it.
My favorite Seattle brewery right now, hands down. Always putting out consistent core line up and they do some fun seasonals. Tap list has the regular offerings, usually a seasonal or two and then a couple of randalls and one maybe two casks with different treatments. Bottles, cans and growlers to go. Prices are great as is the staff. A very active brewery and it is always busy but never an issue to get a beer or a place to post up. Allow kids and outside food.
Itís ridiculous that I havenít rated this place yet, as itís my favorite brewery in town, and the one I frequent most often. Pros: good beer, good prices, good selection, samplers available, kid and dog friendly, good location. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Be prepared for plenty of kids, dogs, and a nice community atmosphere. I love the feel of this place, and am happy to see their popularity continues to grow.
If youíre hungry, there are pretzels, or you can order from a nearby place (Pacific Inn around the corner has damned good fish and chips). Free soda for the kids (sorry adults, none for you -- kid exclusive).
