Visited early evening on a Tuesday for beers with a friend. Long narrow room, with an L shaped bar and tables all the way to the back. Two digital beer boards showcased the impressive selection. Service was prompt, even though they were mobbed pre-Avalanche game. I had a couple glasses of Trinity sour and enjoyed myself. Didn’t eat, though the food I saw coming out looked really tasty. Great spot, though I can imagine this place gets absolutely jammed on busier nights.

82 = ★★★½ (Solid place, near the top of the list for locals and visitors)

I only use the total score, not the component parts.

Great place, become my favorite in Denver during GABF week. A great tap selection, some real nice bottles and good food. All combined with friendly service and a good atmosphere. Definitely stop here!

Made a couple stops here during GABF week, and it was packed both times. Large tap list with lots of special beers available due to the festival. The bar area is quite cramped, particularly when there are hundreds of people trying to drink here. There’s a narrow walkway back to a dining area in the rear, which was slightly better to stand in, but sort of awkward since servers are trying to navigate and people are sitting and eating/drinking. The service is quite good, even with the crowds. Would certainly return, hopefully during a less crowded time.

This is a top notch beer bar with excellent food. The layout is spacious for the room they’ve got. Exposed brick and wooden furnishings keep things classy. Our bartender was simply great. They have a decent lunch special: buy a certain meal and receive a $2 pint, as well as $1 off appetizers and $4 pints during happy hour. Otherwise, the prices are pretty fair anyway. There were a solid 24 taps spanning a good variety and including a few rarities. This is the first place I’ve seen Fat Head in Colorado. We had the cheese fritters with the Iowa style pork sandwich. The meal was absolutely top notch. The music over the speakers was a good mix of modern stuff and a few R&B songs thrown in for good measure. I approve. I will definitely be back.

Visited October 9, 2013.

This place was packed. No seating, even standing wasn’t easy. They had a lot of good taps going but of course we went with the new beers, which were some Upslope beers (they were doing some event there that night). We got glasses of the rum barrel brown ale and the coffee rum barrel brown ale. The coffee was fine, as it tasted like coffee and not much else, but the “regular” rum brown ale was awful, just awful. I didn’t realize that we could do samples; I just assumed not since they were so busy. I took one sip of the rum brown and wanted to spit it out. I asked the bartender if I could trade it and he said no. He said I could have tried it before committing to a full glass. So I told him it was crap and to dump it, then walked out. I guess I got burned for not being a shameless ticker and asking for a free taste. That combined with how busy it was and I wasn’t all that excited about staying there any longer. I stopped back in the next day with Anders37 and waited in the line for some friends to show up. In the 20 minutes it took them to get there we moved through the line about 8 feet. Never made it inside.

Recap: very busy, they wont swap or refund bad beers, but they have a good tap lineup. Enter at your own risk.

Visited a few times on my Denver trip. Nice ambience going on and great, friendly service. Really caring staff and willing to go the extra mile for you. I killed time here while i was waiting for my flight and had a great time by myself. Good selection, no rarities or anything special, just a very nice place to go to when in Denver.

Visited during GABF week 2013. There are 25+ craft beers on tap plus plenty of bottles and cans. It’s big on food but drinking here without eating is just fine. They serve a flight of four beers and even give you a printed note in case your forget which one is which. The staff are super friendly and helpful unlike the Falling Rock up the road. There is plenty to keep any beer drinker happy here.

Decent draft selection, dominated by Colorado micros. Serve flights, which makes for economical tasting. Food was okay.

Located in downtown Denver near Coors field this place has the feel of a shotgun house with the bar in front, a seating area in the middle, and a big room in the back with a massive projection screen. They had a lot of interesting CO stuff on tap and some solid local and regional craft bottles. The staff was friendly and really knowledgable about beer. The food was decent but the prices were very good considering the neighborhood.
