70 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD 5/10 VALUE 5/10 OVERALL 15/20 soyorganic (24) Denver, Colorado | May 6, 2012 Nice beer selection. Nice location downtown. I was disappointed with the lack of vegetarian/vegan friendly options on the menu. Sat a the bar both ties and the bartenders were solid. | 84 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 18/20 Dogbrick (567) Columbus, Ohio | December 23, 2012 (Visited 10/2012 during GABF): Freshcraft is in LoDo on Blake Street not too far from one of the 16th Street shuttle stops.
There is a small patio in front. The interior opens right into the bar area, with standing room on the left and the bar on the right. Beyond that is table seating then a small back bar. A large board behind the bar lists the beers.
Freshcraft features around 20 solid draughts, including brewers like Cigar City, Boulevard, Oskar Blues, SKA and Upslope. Fairly extensive bottle list too.
Service on a packed GABF day was good. The bartenders (both in front and in back) were friendly and knowledgeable about their beers. They were also doing events every day of GABF week (brewery features, rare beer tappings etc).
I did not try any food on my visit.
Overall this is a great beer bar to visit in Denver.
| 82 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 17/20 Ibrew2or3 (301) Tempe, Arizona | October 21, 2012 Another long narrow space, like Star Bar, with the bar to the right in the front and booth seating midway and to the back on the right. They have an attentive friendly staff that seemed to perform well with this place packed. I absolutely love the flat screen tap list display that is linked to ratebeer. It is really easy to tell what’s on tap as opposed to Falling Rock. Kudos! They have a nice thorough tap selection with something like 20 ranging from local to far away. It will be fun to visit this place again when it isn’t as crazy busy as this visit and try some of the food. | 84 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 9/10 OVERALL 17/20 BrewDad (413) Olympia, | October 15, 2012 This is a super place. Nice tap list, great food and very nice service. Nice old brick building look and feel. Very good place. | 86 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 17/20 daknole (300) Scottsdale, Arizona | October 12, 2012 Great place to drink a great beer. I thought the service was great considering the crowd of people. | 86 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 17/20 JPDurden24 (110) Chandler, Arizona | October 10, 2012 Cool place, nice tap selection. Nice people. I'll definitely frequent this place. | 82 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 17/20 Theydon_Bois (394) The ’Sham, England | August 6, 2012 Popped in here on at least 3 occasions during a Jun ’12 visit to Denver.
Solid selection of bottles (100 or so) and taps (30) largely from local CO craft brewers and some from further afield.
Servers were very friendly/knowledgeable and gave me a sample or two without having to ask. Kicked their keg of Pliny on the Saturday night and the bartender gave me 2/3rds of a pint gratis - cheers! Only had snacks (hot and cold) from the food menu - these were good, but also basing my food review on what I could see others eating - it looked great especially the burger. It wasn’t too busy on any of my visits so rated a bit lower on ambience as no real buzz inside. | 80 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 17/20 Thorpe429 (58) , Illinois | July 25, 2012 Stopped in last week on our first day in Denver. The inside is fairly nice for a beer bar. Nice row of taps and a bottle fridge. Service was pretty good. Selection was nice with on-tap offerings, and the bottles in the cooler looked good. The food was nice. My steak and frites wasn’t fantastic, but adequate. The pretzel bite and fried pickle appetizers were both great, especially with the serrano mustard. Price was pretty good. A very enjoyable experience, and I’ll certainly come back the next time I’m in Denver. | 80 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD 9/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 17/20 markwise (157) North of Tampa, Florida | July 12, 2012 Went in on a random Tuesday afternoon for a snack and a few beers. Long and narrow place that seemed to have more seating in the back. It was quiet in the bar area and the service was pretty attentive, although the waitress seemed to know very little about the beer, as the bartender walked over to confirm our order. Still, they were the only place around town that had the Crooked Stave Petit Sour on draft and there were a couple other beers that were only here and nowhere else I saw. I would definitely go back here as the food was very good and paired well with the beer. Happy hour made the beer prices better (so I am remembering) and it was a good experience overall. | 86 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 10/10 OVERALL 18/20 Grundlepaste (12) , | April 18, 2012 Very cool place just south of the free mall ride main depot. Tight entrance when it is busy, but that adds to the excitement of getting in. Had the C’ Stave yellow, nuff said. Cool staff and environment. Did not eat. Will go there again. |
