Good selection of six packs, twelve packs and singles of non-mainstream beers. Seemingly good selection of wine and a good selection of liquor. Staff seems knowledgable on everything that I have asked of them.

This store is pretty amazing being that it is located in central Illinois, or southern Illinois if you are from the Chicagoland area/suburbs. The store has an awesome selection of wine, spirits, and beer. I know for a fact that if the distributors in town have it, Friar Tuck will have the product on their shelf. Some of the other folks who have commented on the store said that only the manager and asst. mananger are knowledgable in beer; I disagree. Most of the staff knows a thing or two about beer; however, now that I think about it those comments were from a few years ago. Last time I stopped in the staff was friendly and very helpful. Oh, and the selection of cheeses are awesome. It is a liquor store, not a grocery store, so the food that they do have is good. If you are ever in need of a lot of alcohol, especially beer, the Friar is the place to go. They have really good prices.

Best place between St. Louis and Chicago to find micro beers or anything really. Amazing selection. They recently stopped carrying three floyds. But almost any other midwest micro is here,

There was quite a bit of selection as far as liquor stores go. The mix and match was extensive as well as a ton of bombers. Most of the craft beer was was kept warm, good for people who are traveling through. Very good store, will be back sometime.

Pretty solid juice store that I like to hit when Iím in the Peoria area. Huge selection, but be careful, a lot of the bottles are dusty and old. I love the make your own 6 pack selection and the insane amount of craft options on the back wall. They sell some home brewing equipment as well. Best beer-centric store in the Peoria area.

Large beer, wine and liquor store. Some cheese etc. available too. Excellent selection for all spirits. If they sonít have it, they will call the distributor and try to get it for you. Pricing is about average, but with a large number of brews to choose from it doesnít bother me. Friar Tuck also offers a lot of single beers too. Big cooler for ready to go beer. Not much bad to say about this store. I try to stop every time I go through Peoria.

This is a great place... thereís a massive wall of beer that starts with domestics then goes to Mexicans, Canadians, Irish, English, German, and some trappists in there as well. A pretty good variety of "mix-a-six" although be weary of sell-by dates on the bottles. They typically carry any beer thatís available in this part of Illinois, although thereís some Iíve been searching for for some time that they donít have, but what they do is impressive. They also have brewing supplies and a really nice selection of wine (including several Illinois valley wines) and liquor. I wish I lived in Peoria. :)

After having recently been to both the Peoria and Springfield locations, I can say without a doubt that the Peoria location, although it seems smaller, has a much larger beer selection. Still has a mix-a-six wall, but I find the Peoria location has more singles available.

Wanted to try St. Bernardus Abt 12 for awhile, and saw that they where the closest place for me to purchase it. They have a vary nice selection of beers, including 50 + Belgians, lots of other foreign imports and American craft beers. I met the manager and he was very friendly and knowledgable about the beers they had. The waitstaff was also friendly. Worth the trip. Always make sure you check the date on the beers. They can tend to sell old beer that has left its peak years ago.

Iím pretty new to the beer world, but from what Iíve run across Friar Tuck seems to be the best place to buy micro brews in the area. Their selection is huge and they have a great international selection but itís predominantly domestics here. As a new comer I was somewhat overwhelmed with their selection and my only gripe is that there was no one around to get advice or suggestions from. As far as price goes they are very reasonable, but I do wish they would bump there mix-a-six price down from $9.99. In my opinion overall a great place for the beer lover.
