88 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 14/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 18/20 rickhall28 (125) Denville, New Jersey | March 7, 2013 Great craftbeer bar...worth a detour if not in Columbia. I love the electronic beer menu on the wall. This is a casual sports bar that allows you to try a very large variety of top quality beers. Food is bar food...but very good nonetheless. Overall the place has a very new and clean look. Definitely check it out. | 76 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD 5/10 VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 16/20 devman171 (50) Annapolis , Maryland | February 15, 2013 Nice place with a cool video beer list, no price/size though. good craft and import selections, and decent food. Prefer Victoria’s Pub | 90 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 15/15 FOOD 9/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 18/20 CraftBear (1) , | December 14, 2012 I love this place! Amazing selection of beers, including overseas brews that you won't find on draft anywhere else in the area. They also keep their beer list up to date online, so you can check out their current selection ahead of time - or on your phone at the bar.
Frisco has a great menu too - it's worth pointing out that they have some really good vegetarian options, as well as standard bar food. If you're vegetarian, I'm sure you know it's kinda rare to find a bar with several veggie-friendly choices on the menu, so this place is well worth a visit. Try the tofu pad thai!
Only thing to watch out for is the cost - the drinks can get pricey (especially the European beers), so just keep that in mind if you're running a tab. | 90 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 15/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 17/20 radio_nowhere (33) Maryland | September 22, 2012 Drove here after our tour at Heavy Seas Brewery. Somewhat out of the way but worth the trip. Sizable sports bar with tons of taps. Our waitress pointed out the most current drafts menus is available on our smartphones, nice! I got 2 beers and the chicken sandwich. All were very good. Their in-house brews are worth a try, better then expected. Will come back if in the area again. | 68 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 13/20 Travlr (999) Washington, Washington DC | December 10, 2011| Updated January 2, 2012 Large sports bar. They had a few interesting things when I stopped by. Food was decent, service was just OK. Convenient stop while traveling between Baltimore and DC. | 70 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 14/20 GT2 (346) Riverslime, California | December 5, 2011| Updated January 2, 2012 A pretty open, modern sports bar cum beer mecca with a ton of TVs and a large digital taplist that changes pretty quickly. Tap list is updated instantly online so no need to squint at the video screen- just pull it up on your phone. When I was there it was sort of a Dogfish Head tap takeover unfortunately but was able to get De Molen, Troegs Scratch series, some odd Italian and British stuff. Lots of variety. Prices were pretty good...about $7-$8 for the special tap beers. Food was very good- fries were awesome. Buffalo burger with bleu cheese was awesome. Food was priced a little beer than the beer. Our meal for two people was $60, a little high, but would have been $28 without the beer. Granted, my girlfriend ordered something fancy off the bottle list. My biggest pet peeve though is the tap list along with the bottle list HAVE NO PRICES! Seriously...what is up with that noise? | 86 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 14/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 16/20 Alanworth (8) Severna park, Maryland | November 15, 2011| Updated January 2, 2012 One of the best beer bars around, you just have to go there for yourself. | 76 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 15/20 BeerandBlues2 (458) Hanover, Maryland | November 13, 2011| Updated January 2, 2012 A nice, neighborhood bar in Columbia with 50 taps of excellent quality beers. The prices can be high but happy hour knocks a dollar off per draft. The server was great, and knew enough to make some excellent suggestions to my non-beer geek friend. The appetizer we had was really nice (chorizo cheese dip). | 96 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 15/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 18/20 Rgpkline (4) , | October 12, 2011| Updated January 2, 2012 Great place. Set up like a European social bar. 52 beers on draft, that change continuosly. Gives you a great opportunity to sample and try different brewers. Food is perfect for this kind of social layout. Can come in the afternoons, sit on the couches by the bar and get work done while enjoying a beverage. Stag is excellent. They try to keep the atmosphere comfortable by making personal suggestions on food and drinks. Cannot wait for the outside deck to come next spring! | 72 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD 6/10 VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 13/20 DiarmaidBHK (523) Pennsylvania | September 28, 2011| Updated January 2, 2012 First off don’t go to this place on a Tuesday night. It gets incredibly loud and there’s no place to sit. The crowd is very yuppieish. I’ve never overheard so many boring conversations in my life. They have a ton of interesting stuff on tap but no,clue on proper glassware. I hated the way the staff hovered over me as I tried to make up my mind. It’s not my vibe so I probably won’t go back unless I’m in the area. |
