Front Page News has a nice open air space with tables outdoors around a fountain. It reminded me of some of the more upmarket places in the Caribbean, well set up for outdoor living. There’s an indoor area too with a rather non-descript pub sort of feel. There are 12 taps, nothing very exciting but passable (and we had just been to the Porter, so many other places pale in comparison). (Visited 20 February 2014).

Ambiance is like uhh I dunno. Nothing? Although it was nice to sit outside on their patio. Service was fine. Selection was maybe not so good as far as beer goes. Had some desert which was solid. Value was on point. Overall this is a fine place to dip into but I wouldn’t seek it out.

In kind of a desolate section of Little 5 Points, it’s a nice place with a great patio. Reasonable beer selection

Despite the roomy interior and patio, plus the high ceiling, it has a cozy feel, mainly because it has a lived-in ambiance and appearance. Gotta love the fountain outside. The patio is well-covered so you hardly feel outside. If you like sports, there are plenty of TVs, and the music is not too loud. Beer selection is not extensive, but they have a good selection of craft brews. Their Louisiana theme means plenty of Abita. Food is rather good - it not gourmet, certainly well-prepared and appealing. This L5P institution is worth a visit - and a must if you live in the area.
