They remodeled and everything is under one roof. Beer tap selection is good and beer pourers are pretty knowledge. Always check out what they have now, worth the drive.

There are two sides to this place. A beer store and a liquor store. Everything over 6.5% is sold on the liquor store. Good selection but the high gravity side seems to be going downhill.

Stopped in while in town after visiting Yazoo and Jackalope as it was right around the corner from both places. No real ambiance, just a typical liquor store. The beer side employee was busy eating and talking on the phone to a friend, so I didn’t ask them anything, just paid and left. The liquor side was pretty busy, so I didn’t ask them anything either, so service gets a 6 because I just don’t know. Both sides had a great beer selection. Not quite on the level of Midtown Wine, but good. Value gets an 8 because I found 2 different 22 oz bombers from Yazoo and one from Lagunitas for less than $5.00 each, which is rediculously cheap for anything from these two quality brewers. Everything else was typically priced, ($8-10 on average). Numerous different brands from numerous breweries. Will definitely hit this place again next time I am in town!

Massive place in two parts - use the door on the left for liquor, and the one on the right for beer. You’ll see the growler station first, and they do give samples, but they’re tiny and in paper cups. Can’t beat the bottle selection in this area though.

Nice bottle shop with a good selection. We stopped in because they carried a difficult-to-find cider that was limited release. Plenty of parking.

Frugal MacDougal has the best prices in town by far. They have one of the biggest selections in town, but because it is so big and well priced, things usually fly off the shelf faster than at most places... so sometimes you can’t find what you’re looking for if you don’t show up quick enough. They have a great selection of brews both on the beer side and the liquor side (high gravity beers). They also fill growlers (6 taps) at a very reasonable price (most fills are 7.99). Would highly recommend this place.

Where I go for my 6 and 12 packs. Their selection is okay.. I wish they had more of their beer chilled. It seems like they have so many beers that are warm on display.. big no no for me. Still though since I can walk here, I like it. The dudes working on the beer side are always chill and knowledgeable.

the low ABV side is about half as large as Midtown, but it does have a lot less light coming in. The singles section is small, about the same size as at Barleycorn, but they only charge $9.99 for the 6-pack while midtown charges per bottle. On the high ABV side, the selection wasn’t bad, probably larger than Midtown, and had some great prices- Sublimely Self-Rightoues Ale was on special for $6.49 a bomber

Seems about the same as Midtown. A small high gravity selection and a pretty sizable under 6% side. Under six has few singles available while over six was mostly singles. Close to the new Yazoo digs.

Big beer and liquor store on the edge of downtown and two blocks from the new Yazoo brewery. Because of some insane Tennessee state liquor law, this place has separate entrances, exits, and registers for low-ABV (’normal’) beer, and higher-ABV beer, and wine and liquor. So I had to buy Yazoo Rye Saison on the beer side and Yazoo SUE on the liquor side in two separate transactions. Maddening. The bottle selection is pretty good, but the setup makes browsing frustrating. A lot of the good Southern beers are not broken down into singles, and I didn’t feel like buying 6-packs of everything I wanted to try. The big bottles are mostly things I can find at other good beer stores, with a few exceptions. They don’t sell on Sundays, so I had to carve out some time in the middle of the weekend instead of on my way out of town. The location and good beers make it worth a visit, but I’d like to see some changes in the way the place is organized and in the state laws (well, since the second one will be tougher, at least break down more 6-packs for singles).
