On a warm summers night this place is cracking.

Maybe it’s because i was in koln, drinking kolsch and eating sausage, that I scored this so high. This is a must do for anyone visiting this city. Dom, check. Nude spa, Check. Kolsch, check and check again.
Great brewpub with lots of tucked-away rooms to enjoy many a glass of kölsch. Food was great, and service was good, even though the place was packed. Köbes ran here and there, refilling glasses faster than (anybody else) could drink :).
Very nice, traditional place. Cologne had the shit bombed out of it so there are not many places like this. I did not try the food but sat outside and had a few kolsch. The beer is average at best but the ambience is great.
Wonderful, unique and justly famous Kolsch location, which is THE essential Cologne experience. Cavernous, labyrinthine, and full of nooks and crannies. Packed to the rafters with an army of waiters speeding around unloading Fruh's nectar, this is like a step back in time, and all very reasonably priced. Lots of people were busy chomping on big plates of food, but we stuck to the addictive Kolsch, soaking up the happy, buzzing atmosphere, with the other tourists and lots of locals.
I prefer Fruh kolsch to Paffgen. I know it’s sacreligious to say this but I just do. I prefer to drink Fruh kolsch in their other pub though. Fruh en Veedel in Chlodwigplatz. Far better place. No non spending Italian and Japanese tourists frequent this one.

I think this is one of the best beer places I visited in Koln. The beer was perfect and the roast was great. Service was prompt and I did not have to wait long for my next beer. The beer was so good I am now on a quest to recreate it in my homebrewery!!
Piwiarnia i browar. Dobry klimat i lokalizacja. Fruh Kolsch tylko dostepny jeden. Szybka i sprawna obsluga oraz nalewanie piwa do klasycznych waskich malych szklanek. Fruh z beczki nieco lepszy od wersji butelkowej ktora dawno temu pilem. Wystruj to drewniane stoly i kelnerzy w dlugich fartuchach roznoszacy piwo na tackach. Brewpub ten tetni zyciem nawet o takiej porze roku.
In short, I dig it. I got here at 10am on a Thursday and was greeted by relaxed, professional and friendly staff. This is a cool looking place inside. I only heading into the restaurant just past the beer dispensing station and rested in a nestled worn wooden booth with the classic Kolsch bar narrow light colored unfinished wood table. From the shallow depths at which I traversed it seems sort of catacomb like as the space heads off here and there down various directions into different nooks and crannies. The place consists of all sorts of material from dark worn in wood to light wood, tile, brass and stone that all seems to come together very nicely. Yes I dig it. The Kolsch was pretty good but on the floral side which I’m not a big fan of.
