Brewpub with a nice terrace overlooking the river (and the freeway, and the railway). Food was good and they have a nice selection of their beers including seasonals. They offer tasters, but you canít make your own selection for those..

I visited Full Sail while roadtripping through Oregon and Washington. We arrived just in time to get a brewery tour. While the tour wasnít anything you wouldnít get at any other similar sized brewery, it was fun and informative. After the tour we got to try all the beers they had on tap which was around 8-10. The tasting room was really nice, and the town was really cool. Hopefully I will be able to make it back to Hood River and Full Sail in the future.

My wife and I stopped in here on a day trip along the Columbia River Gorge. Hood River is a cool town and the brewery plays up the windsurfing theme that itís popular for. The place looks like a big production brewery from outside but the pub is cozy, warm, and vibrant, with a tiered deck with tables that overlook the river. The tap list has the standards and a handful of seasonals; plenty of stuff Iíd never tried or heard of. Bombers are only $4 there, which was awesome. We didnít eat but the food looked solid. Waitress was good but busy because it was crowded. No one was on the deck because of the rain. Overall, an excellent place. Make the trip up the gorge and visit here if youíre in or near Portland.

Visited here for the 2nd time in August í12 (first time was Pre-RB day in 2001). Enjoyed a wonderful dinner overlooking the gorge - great locally organic grown food for the most part. Had the Greek gyro - delicious. Had about 18 of their beers on tap with their standards as well as local selections brewed by their own staff for sale only there. All were above average. Service is energetic and friendly. Took the tour on my way back through several days later. Very personable and friendly. Worth a trip to Hood River if in the Portland area.

Full Sail Brewing is located in beautiful Hood River along the Columbia River. The taproom is one of the nicest I have been to at a brewery. The service was quick even though it was crowded. The selection featured the in-season offerings as well as a few surprises (a vintage barleywine comes to mind). I went on the brewery tour and it is amongst the best I have been on. While I am only a fan of certain Full Sail beers this should be at the top of your list for great breweries to visit.

Very cool tasting room and a first class tour of the facility. Free pint glass at the end of the tour when I visited in the Spring of 2009.

I always forget just how good Full Sail is - they make a bunch of good standard beers that I mostly ignore (except for old boardhead, which I search out), but then I will get to the tap room or somewhere that has more than the Session and pale ales and remember why I like them so much. When i was there the fresh hop ale that was on tap was excellent, as was the Malty bomb & imperial stout. But the really great "find" for me was the Sanctuary - they call it a belgian style double but it comes off much more malty the most of the doubles out there - really excellent beer. The tap room itself is pretty plain - decent service but a really non-descript room with one wall covered in their merchandise.

Overall a good experience with good food and beer. Visited the evening they tapped their bourbon barrel aged porter and had a sampler of Makers Mark, Stranahans, Four Roses and thier blend. All were tasty however cared the least for their blend. A bit crowded and loud. Great service and good food. Asked for some stickers for my business collection and they seemed to be annoyed with that and a little stingy. Most businesses freely give them as it is great advertisement in my liquor business for their product.

Most of taps were pouring the usual main offerings with a few specials. The waitperson realized I was a beer geek, so brought out a sample of a new brew that was just tapped (happened while were there eating) of Irish Stout. Good stuff. Service was good, and the bacon burger was fantastic. The 22ís were only $3. Overall good beers ,good food, and good service. This is what a brewpub is about. I did not have time for the brewery tour but hope to do this next time at this very friendly place.
