Many breweries shy away from the crazy and funky nature of Belgian and Farmhouse style beers. Funkwerks embraces it so much that they made it evident in their name. While most of their beers aren’t really sours, the type of yeast used does paint very fruity and tart flavors on the palate. These brews are an excellent deviation from the ubiquitous options of a saturated beer scene.

Really nice taproom to visit. Pretty much what you’d expect form a small operation with friendly service. Selection is a bit limited given the focus of the brewery (saison styles). Otherwise, pretty solid and certainly a place to visit for those interested in the Saison style brews.

Visited with two friends on October 9, 2012. Good service, sampled the six beers they had on taps. Did not eat, don’t think you can.

Nice place along Brewery road (Lincoln Ave) in Fort Collins. Small and laid back. There is a definite aluminum and wood decor. The sample tray had 5 beers in nice large glasses. The Sunday afternoon crowd was very sparse, but it was a very nice place to hang out on a Sunday Afternoon.

located in an industrial area, they have a nice vibe in the tap room. It’s intimate and cozy. they basically do various versions of saisons here. I thought the beers were pretty good and the service was personable and friendly. I think selection score is holding this place down a bit but I enjoyed my time there.

Stopped by on recent Colorado trip. Worth the effort. Friendly staff. Seemed to be a destination for a number of people. Nice variety of Saisons.

Fun place. Smallish inside. ~10 seats at the bar, half dozen tables. No real food... just snacks. Seemingly ever changing tap list with lots of one-offs. Samplers available. Beer comes in a variety of sizes. Bottles and merch to go. They stopped growlers May 1st. The patio/picnic tables outside offer a chill and relaxed setting to enjoy some of FC’s finest offerings. Must stop.

I went here on not only a Saturday (their busiest day) but college graduation saturday. It got packed and super busy, but the staff handled it great! Awesome selection of beer styles, all house brews though. The sampler flight is a great deal. They only have light food, but what I had (Fresh baked bread) was great. Nicole gave a real great tour!

Why wasn’t this place around while I was in college in Fort Collins? Funkwerks is located in the old Fort Collins Brewery location. Saisons (and Belgians in general) are my favorite style of beer, and Funkwerks has some amazing versions. Even though I live in Missouri, I have my brother ship me new Funkwerks beers every couple months. Crooked Stave is also located here, but the two times I’ve been here, they didn’t have any Crooked Stave beers available.

Little brewery in the middle of nowhere. I wish it was a little closer to town, but it was sufficient. Not a huge selection but the addition of Crooked Stave definitely helps. I first went here when it originally opened up, but have since returned. I have to admit their beer has improved significantly and I have increased my rating for this place because of this. Great people and cool atmosphere. Definitely a go-to when in the Fort Collins area.
