Not so much interesting here at the time of my visit, a decent selection of quite common German standard beer, some exotic imports from South America and the Caribbean and a couple of American pale lager plus some bottles from Schorschbräu. I usually drop by if I’m in the neighbourhood and the whisky selection here is quite nice, but it is certainly not a must visit. The Edeka supermarket in the basement of Alexa shopping mall has a much wider selection of German beer (mainly industrial) and specialty shops has the interesting stuff.

No reason to go out of the way for this, most beers are widely available. No beers to speak of in the bars inside the gourmet section. Convenient if you are in a hurry, I suppose.

Easy to find. I was lucky to stumble over a beer tasting session in the wine and craft beer section on the ground floor. They had quite a few god beers here, but the majority of beers just nearby are not very exiting. Friendly staff, especially the hostess of the tasting. (Visited 11.10.2012)

Not really a beer shop on it’s own, but you will on occasion find amazing beers from the beer shelfs of this department store. The selection of german brews is not that good, altough i found beers like Firestone Walker Parabola and Firestone Walker 14, which is alsmost impossible to find elswhere in Germany. Prices are high by german standards.

Big shopping center with a nice beer section - compared to others. Good selection of German and common international brands. Among the Braufaktum Beers there are some interesting, but some are really not remarkable. All those seem to be pricey for German Beer. The project is supported by a huge corporate brewery glancing at some extra cash.

Found 2 Firestone Walker here, satisfyed with that. Also some BraufaktuM for those interested. Lots of German beers, but better selection elsewhere.

Have been going back and forth on adding this for a while now, but if KaDeWe merits an entry, so does this one. Large, modern department store (you’ll probably want to do some shopping on the other levels) and a whole floor of food, including some international goodies and beer. There’s a section for ’normal’ beer, including some Berlin staples, but there’s also a section set apart that has a tasting area, literature, and bottles of the BraumanufaktuM beers (which, to my knowledge, aren’t available anywhere else in the city - they alone merit the trip). Prices aren’t great, but there are some oddities to help ameliorate, including 3L bottles, gift sets, and glassware (might be your best bet for a Kindl Weisse glass if you don’t want to swipe one).

This branch of Galeria Kaufhof carries a few interesting craft beer items from the UK and US as well as a variety of the standard German beers. Some more obscure German specialties can also be found there, so it’s worth the stop if you’re in the area. A bit pricey on the import/specialty stuff, but if you want imported craft beer in Germany you should expect to pay up...
