Früher einmal eine gute Adresse um das ein oder andere Spezialbier zu finden. Mittlerweile betseht das Sortiment mehr aus Standardware und Kölsch. Nur noch wenige überteuerte Specials. Leider!

Small selection of local brews and less common (for the area) imports. OK if going past.

Visited a couple of times 27-30th March. This is an excellent store for deli stuff, fine wines and some ok beers SN Torpedo and Pale Ale, Fullers Golden Pride and boxed Fullers vintage 2013, some other UK offerings such as Robinsons. There are no Belgian beers but the German selection is ok with a few good dependables from sone of the better Bavarian producers. There is a bar with beers and wine but not sure what the choice was. Its fine and worth nipping into to have in the hotel room other than Kolsch.

As MartinT sais, good if you want some bottles to drink at your hotel later. They had a few Kolsch I hadn’t had, plus some other German beers, and imports mainly from UK. Definitely not worth a special trip. Sadly, no sign of anything from Freigeist, though (which is why I went!)

The place is good but beer is not their core business, so you can find some german and a few belgians ones, some times UK and Canadian. but still not a good choice to buy beers. worth a visit if you are around.

Wow big store with tons of different things. It is Macys meets Whole Foods. They have a really small beer selection. I was able to score some Freigeist beers but the BraufactuM beers I was looking for weren’t there today. Worth a stop by if you’re in the area.

Just a big department store. Imagine JC penny with a grocery and a beer selection. It didnt have much. Just a few imports and local stuff. Decent but nothing that will wow you

This is not a beer store per say, but rather a gourmet supermarket which happens to have a better-than-usual selection for the area. They now carry Braufactum brews and their imports (Firestone Walker, Boon, Birrificio Italiano, etc.), so that is a plus. Andechs is always nice to find too, but it isn’t a rarity in these parts. Rothaus is also available here, but like any fragile lager outside its area, it may not be in smashing condition like it can be in the Black Forest. Anyway, come here if you can’t find anything fun to drink at your hotel while you’re in Cologne. Otherwise, stick to the Kölsch pubs! They are much more interesting anyway.

Small selection of beers that may be a bit unusual for Germany, but not exactly rare (Fullers/Sam Smith/various Bavarian standards). The Freigeist beers can be bought here though!

Grocery section in the basement floor of the large Galeria Kaufhof in Altstadt Cologne. Not really a true beer store - just a grocery store with a slightly better beer selection than most. Pretty much all of the standards are there - Kölsch and various Pilsners. However, they do have a good, albeit small, selection of smaller breweries from in and outside the region - including Andechs, Augustiner, Smauel Smith, and Fullers (which is unusual for Cologne). Plus they are one of the only retail locations where you can buy Freigeist Bierkultur stuff. So, the location has its value.
