If you like unimpressed service and a african lager right next to exclusive belgians, Gl. Strand is the place to go. Allways a pleasure to find strange brews and wonderfully normal people there. A bit out of the way, it´s worth a visit.

not far from the closet that is barley wine this slightly larger shop has mainly danish brews (last time I was there a couple brewdogs were visible, too), but it’s a nice shop and there’s always new stuff on the shelves

Very nice and old inspired place in the old part of copenhagen. The two old guys behind the desk really like a good strong beer, and they are willing to try to help you in getting the right beer. I have with succes tries to get new beers for my own little beer-tasting-club where nobody had tasted beer from this place.

An OK place to buy beer since the variety is great - but unfortunately the biggest selection is of lagers from all over the world. But the selection of Danish micros and Belgian and German beer is still worth going there for.

Interesting old style shop, they also have some Mead; probably they don’t have enough beer rotation; you can find a couple of good Swedish ones (Nils Oscar Barley Wine and Imperial Stout, Slottskällans Imperial Stout...).

A dusty musty place with a decent selection and good location. For a long time one of only 2 (with barleywine round the corner) decent beer stores in the city.

Nice relaxed beer shop in the centre of Copenhagen. Specialize in foreign lagers and has probably beers from more than 50 different countries. Also a nice selection in German and Belgian beers!

Nice small basement store with a wide selection of beers from around the world. Danish micro selection is quite good. Smaller than the Danish supermarkets, but more daring, and more rare brews. Service was fine.

There are better beer shops in town, but this has a fine location, and there should be something of interest here. A wide range of imports, not so big on Danish micros. A fair few excotic lagers, but very decent Belgian and North American beers, too. A sign said they have Westvleteren in the cellar.

Larger than Barley Wine or Ølbutikken, and carries a reasonable amount of beers. Nothing spectacular, though, with the emphasis more on lagers and average ales, than extreme/rare stuff. Also central location.
