70 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 7/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 16/20 Brugmansia (256) Jylland, Denmark | March 5, 2013 Visited this pub on the 4/10-2012.
Large brewpub / gastropub downtown citycenter. Possible to park in the citycenter ( be aware lots of one-way streets ).
Very nice, spacy place, friendly staff and the 3 beers we had from tap was well conditioned. They do both regular and season beers. They do some great food, worth going there again, if in the area :-) | 70 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 8/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 16/20 tderoeck (126) Gent, Belgium | August 22, 2012 On a nice day, you can sit in the small courtyard, if not there’s plenty of room inside, divided in different spaces. One of them is the brewpub/bar where you can see the shiny copper brew kettles. Looks pretty neat. Service was very different. In the afternoon we had a young girl, acting rather unprofessional, not paying attention at her customers and when paying, she just took her tip by rounding up numbers as she returned our money. The rudeness... In the evening, we had an older man waiting us and he did a perfect job. Despite the fact that the restaurant was very busy and their job was stressfull, the man still had time for a joke, was always smiling and very professional. The selection of beers is sufficiant to keep you busy for an afternoon, but not to come back again the next day. The usual German stuff, some Helles, Dunkles (a very decent one!) and Weizen. Food was pretty decent, had the local "stuffed knodel" and veal schnitzel. Portions are not too small. Very good crème brûlée as a dessert. Too bad the beer version of it was not available on the menu (only for groups). Overall a decent place to have you dinner if you’re in the city. | 74 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 15/20 shrubber85 (163) Greenville, Indiana | May 3, 2011 In the shopping area of Saarbruecken - large restaurant with several different areas - large outdoor area (during nice weather). Good regional food and family friendly. A nice place - also carry some Bruch beers. | 62 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 7/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 13/20 JimGent (27) Gent, Belgium | May 26, 2010 Nice centrally situated brew pub, with very good food. The beer was good, but not exceptional. Despite that, well worth a visit if in the area. There is also a pricey Belgian beer cafe 5 minutes walk away. | 68 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 6/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 14/20 steamfreak (54) , England | April 14, 2010 Lovely brewpub in the centre of Saarbruecken, 2 stops on the tram from the Hauptbahnhof. Unfiltered helles and dunkel and when we went an unusual tasting saisonbier called Roggenbier. Seemed to do food all open hours |
