Old fashioned Gasthaus in the very picturesque , medieval town of Sesslach; located on the market square in the center of this small town, this Gasthof is the one of only two places ( the second one is Roter Ochse, facing Reinwand) serving the town’s own "Kommunbräu". Worth a visit, but do not expect culinary highlights …

Restaurant and pub in the centre of the little town of Sesslach. Nice interior, also seating on the marketplace in front. Main outlet for the Kommunbrauerei. Good value food, tasty. The beer is quite unique and in itself would be worth the trip, but Sesslach is a very nice place. Strongly recommended.

At the Kommunbrauhaus, looking very old but well maintained, the brewer sent me to Gasthaus Reinwand. The younglady behind the counter was happy to fill my litre swing top bottle.
The place looks good. It was too early in the morning to taste the food, but it seemed a great place to grab a local beer and have a snack on the patio on the ancient Market Square.
