Charming courtyard Biergarten, restaurant and Gasthof/hotel serving as half of the social hub on the Seßlach market square.
The house tap Pilsner by Würzburger Hofbräu literally pales in comparison to their local Kommunbräu, which is all you’ll need to feel right in the midst of Franconia even at its Upper-Franconian edges. 3-5 bottles for regional Weizen, Schwarze alkoholfrei etc. Arrived too late (after 23h00) to have anything more interesting than Currywurst & Salat, but food on the big company outing’s neighbouring table looked good, service was prompt & friendly despite impending closing time and the sympathetic Herbergsvater very talkative. The upstairs courtyard rooms are a tad pricey for the area, but probably well worth it. Take-away 2L Siphon/growler and 1L wine bottle fills available.
