Nice cozy pub with a gardenish terrace in the middle of a pedestrian street. They stick true to their name and serve mostly Nordic beers. There’s some permanent basic beers on tap and a couple of taps which change all the time, which I find the most interesting. There’s also a solid bottle selection from cult brewers like Mikkeller and Nögne, but the prices are pretty steep. They also serve pub food but I’ve never eaten here. The bartenders know their beers well, which is not a given in all places.

Nicely located in the center of Tampere. Offers a decent changing selection of taps and a good selection of bottles. Clean and the volume level is nice and low. One of the places to visit if you are beer hopping in Tampere.

Clean, but not clinical. Sophisticated, without being snobbish. (They let me in, for a start!) Very friendly staff. Food’s not cheap, but is very high quality if you don’t want to stuff yourself, just grab the soup/stew. Beer selection decent, and seems to rotate regularly, more new beers here than I could pick up in one session. The Phantome de Gastropub is unique - both by being unique to the pub, and being unique in that "phantome" way. Were I local, this would be a pretty regular haunt I’m sure.

Located near the railway station, a bar focused on Scandinavian beer and food. Haven’t tried the food in here, but I’ve heard it’s good. Nice, although a bit small and pricey selection of Scandinavian microbrews.

A good location in the centre of Tampere. Very friendly staff that make the place feel more like home than a pub. Good selection of nordic beers (where the focus is on) and new beers appear on the selection at a decent rate. Good food and snacks, especially the ’RuisReino’ is worth trying. On of my haunts.

This is the place in Tampere if you’re interested in Nordic beers. Det Lille Bryggeri, Evil Twin, Grassroots, Hornbeer, Mikkeller, Nils Oscar etc. beers usually available. 2-4 Nordic beers on tap, 30-40 bottles. Nice service and the staff knows the beers they’re selling. One of the best pubs in Tampere.

Clean, Scandinavian design -style small restaurant. They have specialized to Nordic beers and usually have some interesting Finnish and Scandinavian beers on tap. Also decent selection of bottles. Haven’t been here very often, but this is place where to peek sometimes.

Taps 10+. Only Finnish beers on taps also micros but not that Nordic. No music. Nice. A bit café like place. No real rarities. Limited selection.

Clean place, which offers quite a bunch of Nordic beers, and the music played is also 100 % from the Nordic countries. Has some good Nordic dishes as well. Foodprices might be a bit on the highside, but the food is also tasty and quite nice portions. Staff know what they are selling and can also recommend food to beers and beers to food.

Very clean and inviting bar / restaurant as the ’Nordic’ moniker would seem to imply. Crisp lines and colour, but not cold or sterile by any means. Big front windows allow for people watching. Service seemed genuinely friendly and helpful (like the other Gastropub locations), even though it was quite empty while I was there. The barman took quite a while in explaining the ins-and-outs of beer to a few curious patrons. A good sign. Selection was good, though not quite up to speed with GP Tuulensuu. Still, a decent selection of Finnish and Scandinavian bottles at reasonable prices, most of which are not available in Alko. A few taps go to the Kukko line from Wirvoitusjuomatehdas (fun, serviceable beer that would be new to most non-Finns) which is the ’house brand’ and three to guest beers. One of the guest beers was the GP’s own Golden Hop Bitter (De Proef) when I was there, the other two going to Huvila and Nynäshamns. Did not try the food, though it does seem quite interesting in that it is Nordic themed, just like the beers. For pure ’beer experience’ GP Tuulensuu would still be the place to go, but GP Nordic might be a better bet for a non-Scandinavian travelling through, wishing to try some good regional beers. I will definitely be going back soon.
