Stopped by here when in town for a few days. Saw it from the site, decided to check it out. Weíve got plenty of beer, so I didnít really need any, but wanted to stop by anyways. This is a liquor store solely. There was all of half a dozen sixers on the shelf. Thatís it. This is not a place for beer. Honestly, one would be better served for selection at a grocery store like Food City in town. Was there earlier and they had a much greater variety. This may have been a good stop in the past, but no more. Search elsewhere.

Yes this place does have a couple beers but considering they are a liquor store in Tennessee they have opportunity to have a lot of special quality beers. In Tennessee beer stores are not allowed to carry high gravity beers only liquor stores can. So they could have a real nice selection of craft beers but choose to only keep a small amount of a few beers. Standard large grocery store fare.

I felt the need to add this because even though it is not a very good beer store, it certainly has the best quality beers in the county. Do not make a special trip, but if you are staying in Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg and you need beer over 6%, this is your only option. There is one other liquor store in the county that sells high alcohol beer, but they never, ever rotate their selection and itís all sitting on a shelf in direct sunlight. Gatlinburg Package Store, however, keeps all the beer in a cooler on the far left as you enter. Actually, the most positive thing I can say about this place is that the beer has always been fresh upon my purchase. Just a small amount is kept on hand so rotation is pretty decent. You can count on a couple of Stone brews being here along with the Corsendonk beers. The Rogue XS series, Skullsplitter, and the Delirium stuff makes an appearance every now and then. I find myself here whenever Iím not in the mood to drink yet another Highland beer from the grocery store. Do not ask for help in any way regarding beer, you will get virtually none. Prices, like most places in town, are a little higher but not ridiculous. But, like I said, this is your only option within 30-35 miles.
