Overall, Iím not used to beer at a local supermarket. Not a bad selection here, prices were average to high. In bottle shops and bars, you can always find a good discount on beers or a value six or 12 pack. Not here. You can drink a maximum of 2 beers on premise. With the traffic getting into and out of the store, I probably wonít return. There are just too many good local bars to support with better customer service.

This is a typical big store. So nothing special there. They do have a good selection for a decent price. Help is dismal though

Ambiane is typical for a giant eagle beer store. Service is decent, but not very knowledgable at all. Selection is probably one of the biggest bottle selections in pittsburgh. Value is the best to be found in Pittsburgh. Overall worth stopping when looking for bottles or 6er.

Cheaper than my local six pack shop. A little less selection than a typical bottle shop, but this Giant Eagle location has the largest selection that Iíve seen so far. Even some sours mixed in. The staff are friendly, but they only have a precursory knowledge of beer.

preface: in PA, if you want to buy less than a 288oz case, you have to go to a bar. So, yes, this is the cafe in an upscale grocery store, but in PA - it acts as a bar. As such, expect to pay "bar prices" and donít try to get any deals. If, however, you are constrained to PA and you have swallowed the hard pill that forces prohibition-era legislation on you, then all you really are looking for is selection - and this place has it. Itís refreshing to see a grocery store with only a token selection of american macros and a wide selection of craft beer. Lots of bottles, plenty of bombers, refrigerated cases, and a fair representation of Belgian beers gives this place itís appeal. Mind you, itís really a grocery store so donít expect any advice on beer from the checkout attendant.

New rating: Has really expanded the 12 oz bottle selection and thprices are not too bad. Even has a little kiosk there to taste beers, much improved. Old rating: 64 OK, hereís the lowdown. Has a very nice selection of beers but not a real good selection in 12 oz if you wanna make a mixed six pack. Most of the good beer singles are in bomber size. They do have a good selection of 12 oz but the six packs canít be mixed. After 2000 beers they did have a couple I never saw before. Very friendly area separated from the restr of trhe store over by the coffee bar. I was honored when they asked this old cranker for a ID card. They run thedriverís card code into a machine to see if you are allowed to buy beer. Prices are decent for the Pgh area. I did find a 21oz can of fosters ale, something I havenít seen anyplace else around here.

Boy, I wish this place was closer to me. Huge grocery store on par with Wegmans and Whole Foods (though better and cheaper than Whole Foods). Beer selection is respectable, with decent prices. Great prepared food section and the meats and seafood were impressive - first time Iíd ever seen rattlesnake and python meat for sale, along with elk, buffalo, and venison.

Yes this is a grocery store, but the beer section rivals those in 6 pack shops and not many are aware of that. It is one of the only Giant Eagles in PA that has beer. You can drink it on site at a table while you eat or outside on the patio. Many microbrews to choose from; by the bottle or 6 packs. Prices are better than most local bottle shops. I was just at a Giant Eagle in Ohio and now makes this beer selection seem silly, but I donít live in OH so selection stays at 8
