A decent place in Buenos Aires. Very much looks like an English pub from the inside and they have two cask ales, but were out of one when I was there. Pretty good British pub food. A couple Argentine micros on tap. About 14 taps in total. Open for lunch.

Cask ale available down here! Thanks to a stubborn Yorkshireman who has done a deal with a local brewery. As with all cask ale quality varies with turnover. However there are very drinkable beers on keg taps. The local brewery is Kingston and the cask ale is simply called Scotch, 6.0 abv and is a fairly well balanced brew though I think it would be even better if dry hopped! Often too busy and the prices in here go up and up each time I visit and yet they still dont take plastic and still moan if you try and pay with a 100 peso bill! Beers on 18April were 40 pesos a pint (£5 !) They no longer do a choice of bottles from local micros. Consequently I have updated my ratings so will go down from 70. Unfortunate to see a once quirky boozer heading downwards towards a tourist and local yuppie trap, more like any other bar just for short term gains.

Great place to go in Buenos Aires. I used to go here three years ago when I lived here and it was always full - you don’t have to arrive after 2am to not be the only person there like with many B aires bars and clubs. Just visited again and it was the same. Good decor, pool room in the back. They have a Thai menu now, more argentine microbreweries. Sixtoger is a great IPA.

This place really looked like a brittish pub. Dark and dank and really nice. Beer selection was ok. Not too much on tap but a few Argentinian micros were which were nice to try. 1 handpump which was cool to see. Value wise, a full English pint for 15 pesos which is pretty cheap. In closing, atmosphere great, really cool place. Value, pretty cheap, and beer selection, the only really bad thing about the place. Very few options. Its worth checking out if your wandering the San Telmo markets, but not really worth going out of your way for.

Very busy traditional but trendy pub in San Telmo district. Dim lighting makes it quite atmospheric. Good selection of Argentinian and international beers. Worth a visit but not really my sort of place.

Good place to drink if you are desperate for good beers. I like the style, reminds me Brittish pubs, but defenitely the chips are not alike. The problem it has is too few places where to seat.

Instantly recognisable by the large round ’Stella’ sign, this English-style pub sells beers from Antares, Del Castillo, Baires and Stone of Pilar including, on handpump, Stone cask IPA! The home-made beef burgers are absolutely superb and taste of beef not - erm - other things! An all-round top pub. Happy hour 20:00 to 22:00 when you get two beers for the price of one! Strangely, it seems like the beers are only served in pint glasses with no small measures available...
