i always buy a growler and a glass when i go. i try to visit two to three times a year. i always stock my cellar with Growling Otters for summer entertaining. With just 5 year round beers you know what to expect and the specials are out of this world. Thats what makes the Gilded Otter special

This was a great place to try the beers and have some very good food. I suggest sitting at the bar where the staff can walk you through all of the beers. The food is excllent for brew pub fare and not too prciey! Grab some growlers to go!

Really cool looking place. I love the skilodge look with the brew tanks at arms length away. They tend to change the tap selection a lot and keep the previously brewed beers carved on wooden boards hanging on the walls. The wait staff is always friendly and you can get a sampler at the tables or the bar. The food is always really good and you sure do have a lot to choose from. Not regular bar food either, they have plenty of entres for the family and beyond. As much as summery beers are not really my thing the Blueberry they do in the summer is tastey and they even put fresh bluberries in the pint glass for garnish.

Great brewpub. Good selection of food. I went with a group of about 10 people and everyones meal was great. They only serve the beers they brew and three different Doc’s cider which is brewed about 15 minutes from New Paltz and my house. The beers aren’t the absolute greatest, but definately worth a try. Small place with different seasonals and styles. Pretty impressed.

Slow night, nice dinner with the wife. Beers were well presented and filled with gusto. Will stop in again for dinner and brews. Not far from the pickle festival each fall.

Killing time while my wife was getting nails done prior to a wedding I was happily surprised to find a brew pub. Ordered a beer sampler and an appetizer. Place was really nice especially the patio. food was decent and beer was just ok but worth stopping by if you find yourself in the area

I decided to stop in for a late lunch on my way home from a business trip to Albany recently. I sat at the bar and was served promptly and enjoyed a pleasant conversation with my server. I had the Magherita pizza, which I enjoyed while watching the Yankee game. As an aside, its always a treat to watch afternoon baseball during a work day! The place is clean and attractive with all of the brewing equipment in plain sight. One thing I should mention is their growler refill price, which is $15. If you have lunch or dinner, they include the glass for free, but $15 for a refill is pretty steep. Overall, a pleasant and enjoyable experience.

Lovingly dubbed the "Gilded Flotter" by generations of rock climbers. This place is often chosen by climbers for much-needed nourishment after a day at the cliffs. I think the food is pretty good, although anything tastes great when you’re starving and dehydrated. The beers, although decent, aren’t anything to write home about. More or less a standard brewpub/restaurant, but it’s a nice choice if you’re in town.

Nice restaurant. With nine beers on tap all average or slightly average a quite good selection. Service very nice, though it seemed that the so called "beer server" - who was cute as a button - did not know much about beer. She was helpful though. The food was very good and I’m sure that is a great place to go in summer time.
