What a wonderful find! The owners know and respect craft beer and try to keep their shelves filled with it. All Dogfish Head beers can be had, along with several regional beers, such as Clipper City. Gillys is also a deli where one can avail themselves of tempting sandwiches and artisan cheeses.
Donít let the dreary strip mall location fool you. Check it out and keep it open. Rockville and the thirsty citizens need a place such as this.

Recently opened little place. Kind of tucked behind the main strip on (the rockville pike), but definitely worth a visit. prices are about a dollar too high across the board, but the convenience and selection makes that okay. plus you can sample whatever they have on tap while you cruise the selection (only one brew at a time on tap, but they change it pretty regularly and itís always something good). the owners are VERY nice and accommodating, just ask and you shall receive. their selection is really broad, everything from american micros to macros to high quality belgians. i saw DFH, Brooklyn, Ommegang, Victory, Urthel, Pilsener, Rogue, Chimay, Kwak, Gulden Draak, La Trappe. and really, if you donít see it, ask them and theyíll try to help. also, they have pretty good sandwiches.

These guys just opened a little while back. Maybe 6 months to a year. The owners are very nice, and big fans of beer. They keep improving, they always have something to sample, and they are making an effort to bring craft beer to MoCo, where it is sorely, sorely under available. Prices are a little high, but not exorbitant. Selection is continually improving, and they now have beer on tap. They also serve food, thought I havenít tried it.
**Update - Iíve had the food now (Meatball Monday!) and it was good and a nice price.
If you go here, be sure to go next door and try one of the best BBQ places in the D.C. region.

Points deducted because itís in Montgomery County, so there are some things they canít control. Amazing selection and amazing food. Prices are high, but see above for reason.

Great service, good selection, iffy location pretty much sums up this store imo.
The staff the 2-3 times Iíve been in have been more than helpful, downright chatty and cordial in fact. They often have a beer available for tasting as well. Having a tap in a ístoreí is pretty cool as well, nice intersting touch and get an an additional point for ambiance than the behind a stripmall location really warrents.
They opened after I lived a few blocks away ... so it never really had the opportunity to be my regular, though it would have been.

Tucked away in a strip mall. You walk in and instantly are amazed. Lots of bottled beers to buy in 6 packs and singles, but also a couple beers on tap for sampling or pints. You can drink any beer there for a corking fee. The staff is very friendly and gave us samples of everything they had on tap. Prices were a bit high compared to other places. Nice fun place.

Small place. Selection is decent, but wonít knock your socks off. Prices are a little higher than average. What I like about this place: taps on site--have a pint while you browse; the food is pretty good--I recommend the brie and ham sandwich with maple syrup, itís ridiculous; the staff is super friendly, conversational, and knowledgeable, and they are happy to break a sixer for you if you just want to take a single; finally, you can sign up for a very handy email newsletter that keeps you posted on new arrivals and rarities, and in-store events like tastings. Very enjoyable.

Great selection for a county controlled area but a bit expensive. Seems to always smell like old french fry grease. Love that you can enjoy a beverage while you shop.

A nice deli meets beer store in a nondescript Rockvillle, MD strip mall. The selection is decent, prices a tad high, but singles available, a few taps for those who want to grab a pint, and Italian style sandwich. Next door is Urban BBQ, a great BBQ joint for those close to the Twinbrook Metro. Visited Sept 2010.

Hereís the deal with this place...they have a good beer selection, kickass sandwiches, and itís easy to get to. The bad side...to go beers cost a ton, craft drafts are pretty high. The best thing to do there is grab a groupon or, and this is really the best thing to do, get there on Thursday night when thereís no corking fee for bottles. You can get out of the house, have a couple good craft beers at 2-4 bucks a piece. That is a sweet deal.
