Soviet themed brewpub with great food and service - especially for Moscow. Selection isnít the best, but decent.

Smart place with bouncers and well dressed staff. Beers were amber, red and a dark. Itís about a 10 minutes walk from Red Square and a trolley bus route passes the door

I think this was the only pub with neon-blue sign over the entrance. Location is nice, just across the street of KGB house :) Interior is absolutely fantastic, very stylishly looking library type. Me in me T-shirt and worn out face is like an alien amongst Armani dressed businessmen. But staff treats me well, even bouncers smile (very rare in .ru). Only reason to come here is their own beers. Which are all above average, but within Moscow housebeers one of the best. I was full and didnít have food here. But looking around what others had, it was fantastic. This is not he cheapest place to eat for sure.

Interesting place with many hidden rooms and levels, one could easily get lost here. Clientele comes in many variations, business, families and drunk parties. Service is OK, although English was not spoken, so communications was difficult, but they did their best. Menuís are in English so we were OK. Food selection is good, beer selection limited, but we came for their own beers. A recommendation for visitors to Moscow.

A theme restaurant and brewpub in the former Soviet foreign ministry. The restaurant is supposed to look like a cross between the foreign ministry offices and an elite restaurant from the Soviet period. The menu is based on the Soviet state cookery manual for restaurants. The beers are Czech style and surprisingly good. They also have some imports besides their own beers. The food was good, and the service impeccable. There was a separate play-room for kids, with a girl dressed as a clown playing with them. She seemed to be having as much fun as the kids. Across the street is "Childrenís World," a famous toy store from the Soviet period. Also across the street is what the Russians used to call "Adultís World," the former KGB headquarters and main prison.
