Visited on a weekend right after opening time. Located on the southern edge of downtown Birmingham, across the street from the new Legions Field. Medium sized, open, warehouse style brewery. Open feel to the space with a nice long bar. Around 10 beers on tap when I visited. Beer available in pint, 1/2 pint, and 1/4 pint sizes. Sampler sizes (1/4 pint) offered for $2 (some higher alcohol stuff for $3). While nice that you can get smaller servings, it can get expensive if you want to try everything on tap. Service was very friendly. Beers were mostly above average to pretty good. My favorite brewery in Alabama thus far in terms of beer quality. Nice location, good beers, a definite visit if youíre in Birmingham

We made the impromptu decision when leaving Atlanta to make our way to Tennessee through Alabama, and Birmingham made sense to stop as itís pretty much due south from Nashville, our next destination.
Pretty cool location in what I guess is sort of near the center of Birmingham, though sort of south of what I guess is downtown. Anyway, large warehouse type building just across the street from the ballpark. Very open, high ceilings, cool view of the brewhouse from inside the tasting room. Plenty of places to sit and/or stand and drink some beers.
The service was great from the young lady working the bar when we arrived (admittedly, just after opening). On tap were the four year round offerings and a handful of seasonals/small batches. They do individual tasters of everything--no set flights--and things run from about $2 - $3 depending on what you get. A little pricey for what I encountered in the South, but on par with what Iím used to.
In all, the beers were pretty good and I didnít really dislike any of them, some were even quite good, like their coffee porter and a few of the seasonals.

The beer was great and so was the atmosphere. I was looking forward to finally getting to the taproom and I was not disappointed. Great place!

Went here after a Barons game. Great atmosphere, good music and, most importantly, good beer. They only had six brews on tap. But they were pretty good. I highly recommend this place.

What a delight it was to spend the best part of an evening here! We came bearing greetings for Anne, who was in charge of the bar, from Brock who was in charge of the bar at Avondale when we were there and our suspicions were confirmed - this city is indeed full of good people and has a thriving new craft beer culture. The brewery is in a big new industrial building at the end of the Railroad Park and theyíve somehow made a very nice, cosy tap room in one corner. The horseshoe shaped bar has lampshades fashioned from small casks and the tables are giant cable reels set on their sides. The beers were very good indeed and we were well looked after. I donít think they serve food normally but there was a lot of still-wrapped and untouched food that had been brought in for an earlier event in the function room and customers in the bar were invited to polish it off, so we did our bit. Good people, good beer, good food and good company - highly recommended.

Good people was one of the first taprooms open in Birmingham and still remains one of the best in the city. They have ridiculously cheap beer at $5 for any beer of your choosing including the very high gravity beers. They used to have a nice side yard but that may have been taken over by a neighboring brewpub....A must see while in Bham.

These are fine people making and serving fine beverages. As luck would have it, a minor league baseball stadium was built directly across the street. Good People are handling their expansion by ensuring the home state is well supplied before venturing into other markets. That said, they have just begun distributing to Nashville and apparently cannot send enough. I look forward to more expansion and fine beverages from another of my home stateís breweries.

There are not enough points possible on the total score to really do these guys justice! We came in as out of towners and immediately felt like we helped open the place, even got 4 tickets to see the barons game across the street for free from the barkeep!. Bartender was great, your drinking beer IN the brewery, not at a bar! This is how a brewery should work.

This brewery is located in a warehouse just outside downtown Birmingham (though walkable). As a previous poster pointed out, they are doing construction around the area (it looks like they are building some sort of stadium), so driving right to the brewery is a little problematic. Inside, it is a wide open space with all the brewing equipment pretty much right in front of you. There is a bar and some tables as well. There were about 6 or 7 taps, mostly your typical styles (stout, pale ale, brown, etc) and there were a couple of higher gravity beers I remember. Pretty decent beers, nothing too standout. It is a nice place to relax with a beer and definitely a place for beer travelers in Birmingham. (My numbers may be a little lower than other raters, but I quite enjoyed this place)

Hard to get to right now - the street in front is closed for construction. But I made it, and I am glad I did. The bar/tasting room is just part of the warehouse, which gives you an unobstructed view of the brewery itself - tons of stainless on display. Running 7 taps with a taster flight of all seven for $15. Beers range from Meh to pretty darn good, and the bartender was friendly and knew his stuff. Once again I had a great time tasting and chatting. Good People is Good People.
