Visited in search of some nice Goose beers and was not dissapointed. Had a few beers from tap, inlcuding some new brews. Unfortunately was a week early for the new bourbon release, but the bartender suggested to visit Binny accross the street.

A short ride on the red line from downtown - typical American brewpub vibe, but they do "American brewpub" right here - a bit smaller than I anticipated, but cozy inside - a lot of warm dark wood - pretty extensive list of house beers that range a lot in styles - the four main classic bases are covered well (Belgian, German, British, American) - good prices for the most part, and all beers are available in 5 ounce taster glasses for mostly decent prices - well-made beer, but nothing earth-shattering - service was so-so, but attentive enough - seemed to known and enjoy the product they were serving - food prices are just a tiny bit high for the standard brewpub far - food quality is okay, but I wouldnít eat here again - a lot of brewpub exclusives and solid beer quality are obviously what make thus a staple in the Chicago beer community.

Nice place right near downtown. I was really happy to near this was independent of AB. Nice list of 10-15 beers, including some rarities. I love they list "Brewpub Exclusives". Cost was about $5 for 20oz. Staff was great, even let my father try a bit of Bourbon County for free. I would definitely make it back.

Been going here since it opened . Has had itís ups and downs but always can count on a couple of good, unique beers. Food is pretty tasty, though doesnít seem as good now as in the 90s. Can get pretty crowded on the weekends.

Was waiting to visit this place for ages. Turned out to be a bit of a disappointment. The interior is impressive lots of would with observation windows to the brewery. The service however lacked any kind of enthusiasm or knowledge beyond the basics. Selection was as expected, goose island. Had the bourbon conty which was great. The food however was a rip of. Ordered the cheese and meat platter for sharing, it was so small that I though what they brought was only part of it. Very overpriced, plus is its right next to binnys!

Very large place, huge inside. More of a restaurant atmosphere that has a central bar area on the inside. Lots of room to move around, even when busy, which is nice. Pretty good service. A little disappointed by the tap-list. Donít get me wrong - they had *lots* of beers on tap, but many of them werenít particularly interesting. I mean, I wasnít expecting Bourbon County on tap, of course, but I guess I wasnít in the mood for Milds & Bitters. Maybe itís that time of year, I guess. However, their Berliner was very nice. Didnít get food, but it looked like they had a nice menu with lots of food. Relatively good pricing - they offer some beers in "half" sizes. I wish they did this for all of them, instead of just a select few. Overall, a good visit. Expected a little more, but Iím still glad to have stopped.
Update: stopped in again on my most recent visit to Chicago. Got some food this time... The pulled pork sandwich was great, as was the hummus. Much better tap selection this time around. Couple new barrel aged beers & saisons that were all pretty tasty. Bumping up my rating, this visit was much better.
