36 AMBIANCE 2/5 SERVICE 6/10 SELECTION 5/15 FOOD 2/10 VALUE N/A OVERALL 5/20 KyotoLefty (350) Kyoto, Japan | July 28, 2012 4 Biersch beers on tap. Decent condition. Hamburger was one of the worse I have ever had. Very expensive. Typical airport joint. Go to Anchor instead. | 34 AMBIANCE 1/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 4/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 2/10 OVERALL 3/20 Travlr (999) Washington, Washington DC | June 1, 2012 Why do many airport bars serve nothing smaller than a 20 ounce beer? What if you have only a short layover and want a 12 ounce pour? Why does a place that calls itself a brewpub not serve a sampler tray of their beers? Why don’t places who commit all these crimes against nature fail to list the prices in their menus? Did you know they charge NINE BUCKS for their beers here? Why can’t more airport bars be like those at MSP? Don’t they realize that they can do better, and that trying harder might attract more craft beer drinkers? Or do they even care? | 34 AMBIANCE 1/5 SERVICE 6/10 SELECTION 2/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 5/10 OVERALL 8/20 ben4321 (163) Hoboken, New Jersey | May 16, 2011 Even for an airport bar, this one is pretty weak. I couldn’t have been more disappointed by the selection, 2 GB beers and 4 BMC beers on tap, even calling Blue Moon a seasonal! That’s about as weak sauce as it gets...
| 78 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 15/20 KAggie97 (220) Ugly, Hot, and Humid Spring, Texas | April 16, 2009 (From my original erroneous rating of the pub in the city)
Enjoyed my stay here during a layover on the way to Seattle in June ’06. The guy behind the bard gave me a free sample of the blonde bock. That makes him cool. Had a pint of the Pilsner. Nice place for an airport brew or two. Didn’t eat anything there. | 52 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 6/10 SELECTION 6/15 FOOD 6/10 VALUE 5/10 OVERALL 11/20 PilsnerPeter (100) Flushing, New York | April 14, 2009 I hung out here while waiting for my flight home. I only had the Pilsner and Marzen as I waited, and both were somewhat solid. I also split a Turkey and Havarti cheese sandwich with my girlfriend, which was only mediocre. The servers were friendly but didn’t know anything about beer. Not a place to seek out, but if it’s in your terminal you might as well try the Pilsner; it’s very similar to Pilsner Urquell. | 56 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 8/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 4/10 OVERALL 10/20 IrishBoy (100) Bakersfield, California | April 13, 2009 Inside Terminal 3 by Gate 64; I happened by at 7:30 AM and they had a GB Doppelweissen that I had not rated do I had on of their big glasses. Great beer on draft and they had three others of their normal beers on draft. I did not try the food but the people eating said it was good. Barkeeper was helpful and seemed to know a fair amount about beer. |
