I stopped by here for a few brews before heading to the Nats home opener. The interior was modern and clean. Expected since it just opened. There were a ton of staff as this was the first game day they had. The staff were helpful and had memorized the company lines about the beer. They only had the five flagship beers on tap since they were too new to have a seasonal brew ready. The food was very good and the beer was reasonably priced, albeit a little mediocre. To be expected with a Gordon Biersch. A decent stop if you are headed down for a game.

This particular Gordon Biersch is your typical "upscale" faux-trendy location. Average atmosphere. Incredibly crowded on game days.
Service was okay for the location and crowd, and relatively attentive to our needs. I havenít been to other Gordon Biersch locations in a while, so Iím not sure if other locations have as many custom brews as this one seems to have - probably worth a stop if you want a quick drink before the game.

This place is just off the Navy Yard metro. Modern interior, large square bar up front, bar tables next to it, restaurant tables in the back. Brewer was sitting at the bar working at his laptop. Yes, they brew the stuff here, including two seasonals that were slightly better than the bland but inoffensive core GB offerings. Interestingly, they had a few taps from other regional breweries (i.e. DuClaw), and some bottles as well. Food was standard pub grub. Service was OK. Not sure why a beer geek would come here, but I guess this could be a back-up if a tsunami wave makes it up the Anacostia and destroys Bluejacket.

Close to the Nationals Stadium so i usually pop in after for a beer when it is very crowded and service is crazy. Decent selection of non GB beers and they keep it relatively clean for the amount of drunks that come through.
