Big style pour house. Lots and lots of tap selection. $3 local texas pints.pushy service. Expensive flights. Some beers on should have been pulled so too many taps not tuning over.

Visited on Tuesday 21/05/13 around 9pm.
Downtown location and packed to the rafters we managed to grab 2 seats together at the bar.
Tap list was fine but no match when compared to the Hay Merchant, allied to the fact Iíd visited the HM first which meant there were only a dozen or so new ticks for me having taken care of a lot of the TX stuff already there.
I enquired about tasting flights but as per the Ginger Man they seemed to be predetermined choices.
The 86 taps does however include quite a bit of filler.
There was a pub quiz going on over one side of the venue.
Ok place, doesnít come close to the Hay Merchant but much better than the Ginger Man for me.

Quite a large place, unfortunately that comes with the large noise too. Nice selection of beers, and service knows their stuff. Manager come to discuss my quest and helped me out with a bottle of beer from Virginia next day. Thanks.

After not actually making it in here for months and months of Houston trips, I was finally at a downtown area hotel and was able to get here twice last week. Really enjoyed the beers they had for (512) day, and thought they had some other interesting stuff come in as well. Compared to other Saucers I have visited, I would say the list is comparable or maybe a little better. Atmosphere is the same pretty much. A nice stop (and basically the only stop) in the nearby/downtown area.

Fairly in line with the other Flying Saucers with a seemingly large tap list (~75) and even bigger bottle selection (~75 others?). Ambiance is a little less than other locations as the patio on the sidewalk is noisy and cramped, and the inside is fairly loud and haphazard. Service is typical of FS, although the beer maids know the beer better at this location. Selection is typical FS as they have most of the bigger craft brews, but typically only 5-10 taps are actually interesting to a beer nerd with ~30 or so beers that are poor in quality. Food is typical pub food with more downside due to poor kitchen execution as it a basic menu prepared by non-skilled cooks. The biggest complaint against this location is the parking situation as no matter what time of day you visit, you will pay a significant amount for parking and it may or may not be close to the bar.

It's loud! It's open seating so you have to fight for a seat when it's crowded. Service seems rushed but they do get food and beer out fast once you order. The beer selection is excellent with a great selection of craft, local and international beers. Forgive me but why do people bring their babies here?!! Did I mention it's loud?!

This is the second Saucer Iíve been to, and they are pretty much all the same. But theyíre all pretty good, so thatís a good thing. 80ish drafts and a crapton of bottles. This location was a little crowded and very noisy, but they had a great selection of local beer to make up for it. Iíll definitely be back when next Iím in Houston.

Visited several times while in Houston on a business trip; it was a short walk from my hotel. I was surprised to find out that it is a chain. It was busy and noisy, but it has a relatively quiet nook. Excellent selection and good prices. On one visit, a waitress went from table to table distributing free samples. Food is so-so.

Nice place in downtown Houston - no free parking. Pretty dead at lunchtime on Monday. Great tap selection with a lot of interesting locals, nothing really exotic. Decent bottle list to supplement. A lot of space inside. Food was decent, service was good and the server knew her beer. All in all a good experience.
