Considering that most of the beer bars in the area have a less-than-stellar selection (to give you an idea, Sierra Nevada Pale Ale is the star in most lineups), Central Park Liquor is a very refreshing oasis (especially if your hotel room is equipped with a fridge). You'll find a nice selection of imports (Chimay, Samuel Smiths, and the like), at least four different Stone brews, Avery and a slew of other Colorado micros, for example. For such a remote town, which mostly caters to macro-drinking tourists, I seriously doubt that you'd find a better selection within a 100-mile radius. You'll find the liquor store to the right of City Market, conveniently located in the shopping area near the intersection of Hwy 40 and Mt. Werner Road, in between the Steamboat Ski Area and downtown Steamboat Springs.
