A few aisles in the food court offer beers. Decent selection of bombers and six packs, can do mix-sixers too. Price seemed fair, had to check out in the food area (PA laws). Iíd stop by again if I didnít want a case of something.

Not a write-home-to-mom selection (altough I did almost). It is nice to be able to buy beer in a smaller size than a case. They have all the usual suspects in terms of large micros, and I saw a couple of fun picks there. Goose Island, Stone, Victory, Troegs, Green Flash all well represented. Some decent imports as well. There isnít much beer service and the 184 oz limit per customer is a bit of a drag. However, you have to be glad that wegmans is willing to do this. Edit. They enlarged the craft beer section quite a bit. Penn laws are Penn laws, but Wegmanís does their best to offer a good variety and decent service to the beer geek. With Alís take-away section taking a hit in the new location, this is probably your best bet in Mechanicsburg.

I love to go to Wegmans, even more so since they started selling beer. I remember when they put the beer in this location, and when they recently expanded the area to hold a few more shelves. The selection of bottles is pretty solid. They donít really have anything overly "rare" just plenty of locals like Troegs, Victory, ect. and bigger names like stone, dogfish, ect. They also have a pretty good overseas selection as well. Prices are very reasonable, bordering on the best in the area. The service really isnít anything special. Most of the people working in the beer area never leave their registers. They sometimes have one or two people floating around the area, mostly on weekends, and they sometimes know there stuff. Overall the service is ok. I am glad we have this as an option in our area. Between the solid selection and below average prices it is a welcome alternative.

It is nice to have beer available in a grocery store in PA! They also do let you mix and match a six pack from a selection of beers.

Grocery store with a great cafe food selection, and a great beer selection. The beer prices are reasonable for 6ers. Singles are a bit pricey, but not too bad. Food is expensive.

For PA, this is a stellar selection and a stellar service. It is nice to buy singles and sixes. Fortunately, in free states this is the norm. It is unfortunate that in PA this is special. But thanks Wegman's for making it happen.

Beer in a grocery store is a new concept in Pa. The state does not allow it, but Wegmans, and now some other chains following their lead, take advantage of a "loophole" by operating a restaurant in one corner of the store, selling beer with a restaurant license. Although they justify this by saying they look to offer beer to people having dinner there, the truth it this is all about takeout. The good news is, we now have a place with a very good selection of craft beers to buy sixers and bombers. The selection is pretty good; heavy on Rogues, Dogfish Head, Stone and regional Pa. and NY offerings such as Troegs, Weyerbacher and Southern Tier. Mix-sixes are reasonably priced and although they donít advertise it, are not limited to the selections on the individual bottles shelf near the cooler (or those in the coolers). They will allow you to include beers from sixes on the shelves, too. Not sure if they intend it this way, but from the missing bottles in sixes that you encounter, it appears they donít distinguish between placing higher priced offerings, such as Dogfish Head stuff that comes in 4-packs, from the rest when it comes to mixing. Although the selection does not change much as far as whet breweries are available, they do rotate the offerings from those breweries to include seasonals. A downside to their selection is that being a large corporate store, they have little local flexibility. All additions to the inventory must get home office approvals. Also, some very good news -- according to one of the chefs in their cafe (cafeteria style, mostly carryout food), plans are in the works to almost double the size of their beer selection, which he tells me will allow them to increase their selection.

Decent selection for a grocery store. Singles, sixers, cases, 22ís, 750ís,mix your own sixers. Approximately 70% at room temp, 30% in coolers. Some items I only found in the cooler area. I was at this location a few days before Christmas so it was very busy and the staff appeared somewhat overwhelmed. Prices were sporadic, some items had decent prices, and others were overpriced.

A grocery store, very similar to Giant Eagle located here in Pittsburgh. A decent selection of beers, mostly local Troegs, Lancaster, Victory, and Stoudts. Nothing unusual here. For the most part, prices are high especially on a local Pittsburgh macro IC Light and IC Light Mango which they are selling as craft and asking $4 / bottle. "Címon Man" Donít assk staff any questions, there have no idea about the beers.
