Visited September 2016. It looked like rain and we decided to give it a try, after passing it several times. Traditionel dutch, city pub. Spacy and cosy atmosphere. Nice selection on tap and a decent bottle list as well. Friendly service, easy to get at as tramline 1 just passes. Nice selection of cheeseplatters and other lunch dishes. Beers served in good condition. For sure worth a visit.. A few outside seatings, and a special room for smoking people....
Visited on a busy Monday evening for the Belgium-Italy match. Very crowded of course, we somehow still managed to find good places in front of the screen. Simple interior with a bit of wood, rather bright colours and some beer enamels. A small patio with a handful of tables is in front of the café. The selection is very Belgian-accented, most of the trappists are available and other well-known goodies as well. However, there is also space for smaller Dutch breweries, some American and German beers can be found as well. Quite a good selection to just enjoy a beer, but not overly interesting if your are searching for new or rare beers. The prices are quite okay, nothing shocking in Amsterdam. Saw that the food was good and not expensive as well. The staff was friendly and attentive, but hardly knew what we were ordering when we asked for some of the beers recently added to their list.
Always happy to be here! don’t skip this venue when you are around!

We visited this branch of the mini Gollem empire on Monday 5th October 2015. If you are visiting Craft and Draft also further on up Overtoom then this is worth popping into as it is close by. We sat outside but I did nip in to order the beer so managed to get some idea of what this looked like inside. It is a bigger and more conventially laid out establishment than the cute tiny little old one in town. A large L shaped bar at the rear and LH side with numerous boards displaying the beer choice is the main feature. On the LH side towards the front is where much of the seating is though there is some seating in a smaller room at the front on the RH side. There is also plenty of bench seating and tables out the front which if memory serves me right much of is covered by a large canopy /awning, they may even have some of those outside gas heaters as well I never checked. It was quiet when we were here at about 4pm ’ish’. It is towards the town end of Overtoom. Beer choice like many of the Gollems, is a little safer than some of the new kids on the block but it is still wide ranging though in safer Belgian territory for the greater part from what I could see. We had Gollem Precious and Gollem Blonde. I liked it here but as with Craft and Draft and tge Beer Tree I feel that my excursions out this far are likely to be few and far between, saying that we have a gig to go to tomorrow Public Image Limited at the Paradiso which is this end of town so we maybe back to here and Craft and Draft sooner than I expected.
Stopped in here on a busy afternoon. There was nowhere to sit at the bar, but we did find a table just behind the bar seats to sit. Lot’s of wood and copper with an old-time feel to it. Brought me back to the days of old, but with better beer, I’m sure. Within just a short time of sitting, we had a waitress stop and ask us what we would like. I ordered a Cantillon Gueuze and it came with the Cantillon tumbler. This was my first experience having that happen, and it was really cool. Pricing was pretty good, too. Seven euros for the beer and we were out the door. I saw those bottles priced higher in shops later on in the trip. They were tourist shops, but the point is still valid. I definitely recommend if you are going to be in the area. One of my favorite stops in Amsterdam.
Very nice beer place a 10 minutes walk from the Vang Gogh museum. A good dreft selection, including their own especially made brew. Very strong Belgian bottle selection. Nice food and athmosphere. Separate room for smokers and some outdoor seating. Great place
(Visited Aug 2014) Larger sister pub to the more centrally located Café Gollem. This one is located at the eastern part of the long Overtoom, not too far away from Leidsesplein. Good selection of beers, mainly Belgian, but with a fair amount of Dutch craft beers, both on tap and bottled. Service was friendly and efficient. The clientèle quite mixed. Well worth a visit.

Got here at noon opening time on a late December afternoon, staff weren’t quite ready for customers yet but treated us well. Phenomenal selection both on tap and in bottles; by the time I had drunk all the "ooh, never seen that on tap" beers it was time to go. Reasonably priced good pub food for lunch, and the fries ("in beef tallow" like McDonald’s used to when their fries were good) were great.
