Stopped in here on a busy afternoon. There was nowhere to sit at the bar, but we did find a table just behind the bar seats to sit. Lotís of wood and copper with an old-time feel to it. Brought me back to the days of old, but with better beer, Iím sure. Within just a short time of sitting, we had a waitress stop and ask us what we would like. I ordered a Cantillon Gueuze and it came with the Cantillon tumbler. This was my first experience having that happen, and it was really cool. Pricing was pretty good, too. Seven euros for the beer and we were out the door. I saw those bottles priced higher in shops later on in the trip. They were tourist shops, but the point is still valid. I definitely recommend if you are going to be in the area. One of my favorite stops in Amsterdam.

Very nice beer place a 10 minutes walk from the Vang Gogh museum. A good dreft selection, including their own especially made brew. Very strong Belgian bottle selection. Nice food and athmosphere. Separate room for smokers and some outdoor seating. Great place

Fairly spacious by Dutch standards, busy and quite goody. OK selection, but mainly Belgian.

(Visited Aug 2014) Larger sister pub to the more centrally located Cafť Gollem. This one is located at the eastern part of the long Overtoom, not too far away from Leidsesplein. Good selection of beers, mainly Belgian, but with a fair amount of Dutch craft beers, both on tap and bottled. Service was friendly and efficient. The clientŤle quite mixed. Well worth a visit.

Got here at noon opening time on a late December afternoon, staff werenít quite ready for customers yet but treated us well. Phenomenal selection both on tap and in bottles; by the time I had drunk all the "ooh, never seen that on tap" beers it was time to go. Reasonably priced good pub food for lunch, and the fries ("in beef tallow" like McDonaldís used to when their fries were good) were great.

One of the best beer bars in the Netherlands. They have a very nice selection of Belgian and especially Dutch beers. This is a good place to get some of the Dutch start up beers in Amsterdam.

Large but fairly standard selection of Dutch & Belgian beers. More spacious & much more seating than the majority of the bars which I visited in Amsterdam. Visited 26/6.

Visited on a Thursday afternoon not too long after opening so it was calm and there was plenty of seating available. Larger than Gollem and Gollem II. Interior is retro with a lot of beer memorabilia. The bar cat add to the ambiance. Beer selection isnít top notch, but thereís a few good beers available on tap as well as some classic Belgians. Decent bottle selection, but mostly Belgian classics. Thereís a couple of snacks available to eat, but I havenít tried any. Price for beers is good compared to other places in the city. Certainly not one of the "must visit" bar in Amsterdam, but a fun one if you are near Vondelpark or at one of the museums.
