Not a terribly big store. And it’s made to feel even smaller by the incredible amount of garbage that is packed in here. But, they’ve got a rather good beer selection, at least for a visitor like myself.

The first couple coolers are mostly just cheap macro lagers, but plenty of malt liquor ticks to be had for a connoisseur of that fine style. If you continue on there are lots of beers from LTM, Simple Malt, Dieu du Ciel, Dunham, and all sorts of brands/labels I didn’t recognize at all.

Prices seemed pretty reasonable and they had a deal for buying in bulk as well. The woman working the register was friendly, too. It’s not too out of the way, so I’d say it’s worth a quick stop.

This is a rather small place. The aisle are so so small you can barely see what’s on the bottom of the shelves. This is what we call in Quebec a "depanneur" meaning a corner stopre.. At the back of the store, you can find the beers. They have as principle to keep some rare beers in the backstore to sell later. For example if they buy 4 caisses of one beer, they sell 1 and keep the others for other weeks. So whenever you go there you can find some rare beers not available elsewhere. Just be careful these beers are beers that can be aged. Even though I didn’t need service, the help I got was pretty awesome. He even got me some beers in the back store reserved to sell for later. Prices are cheaper than anywhere else. The big downside for me is the parking, it’s quite hard to find a parking near that beer store. Overall it was a great experience

2013-XX? Little convenience store with a bunch of coolers in the back. Pretty decent selection of Quebec beers including some rarities but I was disappointed to realize when I got home that a lot of the hoppy rarities I bought were hard to find because they hadn’t been made in quite some time. As a result they were on the stale side. Worth a stop if you are in the neighbourhood nonetheless. Check bottling dates where possible!

Made a quick stop by here on our way out of Montreal. Fridges lined the back corner of this smaller depanneur. Had a really good selection of both big name and micro-brews. Selection was well organized with prices labelled. Also had a good variety of glassware and munches. Noticed some prices were up to $0.50 less than other stores. Easy to get to with a lot of street parking along St. Denis. Well worth a visit!

Bon choix, plusieurs bières de micro et importées. Le service est agréable et connait les différents produits. Les prix sont compétitifs. Un très bon dépanneur à bière.

Good clean beer store conveniently located when bar hopping. A staff was friendly and let us check beers out without interruptions. Good spot worth of visit.

plusses-convenient location, good choice of quebec micros, fare prices. ---- minuses-fridge is much too cold, guy that was shelving beer had little knowledge of products. --------- personal minus-paper pricing labels are on most beer bottle caps.

One of the best stores in Montreal for Québécois microbrews. Plus it’s centrally located, so what else can you ask for when visiting?

I visited this store last year (summer 2010), but I did not give any opinion because I thought this store was not on Rate Beer, because I passed beside Épicerie José inc. (another beer store). But after all, they are both on the site and about one minute walk from one and other (which is odd). The front part is typical dépanneur, but the back part is well organized for all beer lovers and for everyday people. The beers are coded by what kind of person would want to drink, from everyday drinkers to beer geeks. A good place for the locals.

Not the largest selection in town, but a beer-geek friendly place with a top 10 selection for Montreal and very conveniently located for me. The prices are among the lowest in Montreal. Shelves are cleanly displayed and they get most of the special offerings and if not in huge quantities, they still tend to have bottles for a bit more time than top Montreal stores like Peluso where novelties rotate very quickly. Nevertheless, I rarely come across bottles past their prime at Au Coin Duluth and with its central location, it’s the beer store I go to most often these days.
