Nice place to eat (decent if not great food), hangout, and choose from a solid list of Vermont breweries. Not as good a choice as Prohibition Pig, Black Back Pub, and the Pro Pig Brewery...but if you are in the area for a second day...or just live in northern Vermont...you should definitely check this place out.
Visited on August 2015. We were sit deep in the back, close to a pool table with noisy teens and TVs showing both baseball and weather forecasts... At least, the enormous beers selection made me feel better, especially when I saw Fiddlehead IPA. Took a long time to order but service was ok after that. My burger was huge, juicy and tasteful. Food menu is pub-style. Great alternative to Prohibition Pig.
We visited The Reservoir on the search for new Hill Farmstead beers on an Autumnal Sunday afternoon. The front room is a restaurant, but we sat at the bar in the backroom. They had 30+ taps on offer with 6 or so from Hill Farmstead, including a few I did not see elsewhere on our trip. The fridges behind the bar were crammed full with fresh Heady, which isn’t bad. Has a local bar vibe to it. Ambiance and service was pretty standard overall. Not the best bar in town, but the beer selection is exception. Well worth a visit.

We ate there on a Saturday nite seems to be the place that all the person in town again out to. Fun atmosphere, professional staff and pretty good beer selection make this place a key player in town. The food is pub type with a little kick. We had the shed burger and the tomato mozzarella sandwich. Everything was good. The beer selection include stuff from HF, Lawson’s Finest, The Alchemist, Foley Brothers just to name a few. Sadly beer from tap were served to cold. Go there.
Did fancy the vibe of this place a lot less then Black Back Pub and Prohibition Pig. Typical locals mentality, where they don’t like it to have strangers around. Wouldn’t recommend this place, although they do serve some Focal Bangers ^^
I sat at the bar in the corner, barely anyone was there, but hey, service was good. Considering I had some HF beers and a Kingdom brewing beer, prices seemed good. I didn’t have any food but the guy next to me looked like he really liked his food, he didn’t leave a crumb so I’m guessing the food looks really good. The value, well, I heard it is better than Arvad’s and Pro Pig, but hey after seeing the bill, its the same, eh, whatever, just do a beer pub bar crawl and hit all three up when you’re in town. I’d go back, definitely.
Visited 7-11 for dinner. Wow was it busy and scorching hot inside. We were sweating at the table. Service wasn’t too bad. The girl was a bit slow, but it was busy, so you can’t expect much more. Beer selection was crazy good with tons to choose from. I got a Maine Lunch freshly tapped and Fiddlehead IPA. Food was solid, just found it odd I only got 8 wings for my 10 wing order lol. It was way to busy to say anything and what are they gonna do, make me two wings and bring them out? Value was decent and food and drinks were priced fine. Overall pretty good. Only went there once as there were other places I liked more, but I’d go back.
Excellent draft list, but this place to too busy and impersonal. I felt like just another body, not a valued customer. They offer tasters but its disingenuous as they eliminate almost half the beers as candidates for the flight. I would only come here if a beer I wanted wasn’t at another bar.
Another good pub in Waterbury. Extensive tap selection with mostly VT options. Bartender was busy serving between the back and front bars so it would go a awhile without seeing him. Food looked pretty darn good. Comfortable pub with plenty of wood and pleasant lighting. A fun spot for a beer.
