Nice place to stop for a drink while in Brussels. Cool atmosphere with a pretty nice tap selection. Met up with Bjorn and shared a drink (thanks!). Right near all the tourist spots too.

Very cool place in Brussels center. Music is not so bad for a popular and loud for a downtown place. Awesome draught selection with rotating guest taps and multiple lambics served by handpump for amazing results (especially Framboise Cantillon). Not the best bottled lambic selection. Friendly service, nice bottle presentation. Zwanze 2009 was in top shape. Iíd go again several times as it is a very convenient location.

Hand picked beer at sensible prices, central location, food sourced as well as the beer. A bar with a clear philosophy behind it, this is the real thing. A must stop in Brussels. And donít let the name frighten you, there are lots of alternatives to lambic.

Excellent lambic selection and also other interesting craft goodies on tap. More modern and sterile than the old Chez Moeder. Service was ok. Because of selection must visit in Brussels.

Visited on our trip to Brussels in 2012 (from notes). Moeder Lambic is located in the heart of Brussels close to anything and everything you want to be doing that involves drinking good beer. The ambiance was nice, nothing special. The service was quick and effective once we sat down. The prices overall were a little high but to be expected with the type of beer selection they are carrying on tap and in their bottle list. They predominately have Cantillon and other lambics has their primary selections but other Belgian and European locals to choose from. There bottle list is riddled with some very rare and very expensive lambics and gueuze. Overall a great location for drinking good beer in Belgium. We were slighted somewhat on trying to purchase one of the rare beers that were (and still on) the list that others appear to have easily purchased after our visit. That aside, a great place and must visit while in Brussels.

Selection is awesome on tap and nice in bottles but there is a problem on the price of the bottles. Nice bar for taste a couple of beer in Brussels.

The sleeker of the two locations, fontainas is elegant and egalitarian in its decor and ambiance: I donít know anyone for whom the experience at a bar is specifically enhanced by beer signage, while the opposite must often be true. The focus here is balanced between an excellent, diverse tap list and a very deep bottle list; while the prices for rare gueze, etc., are possibly inordinately high,I thought prices on the whole were quite fair. For me, fresh de la senne beer on tap is a perfection rarely surpassed, and even based solely on this the moeder lambic bars stood alone in my experience in Brussels.

Located on a beautiful circle in the heart of Brussels, I approached Moeder Lambic Fontainas on a sunny day and there were loads of people enjoying the sun out on the patio. I took a seat at the bar and ordered what turned out to be a really great cheese and meat plate along with a Zwanze 2013 which was served is the traditional basket. The ambiance inside was everything I could have asked for. It seemed newly renovated but has an old soul. I could not recommend this place highly enough. It seems like a place you could enjoy a rare beer while bringing non beer-geek friends and both parties would have a great time.
