Primarily a family restaurant but with a great beer selection. Flights are available but the bar chooses the beers not the customer. That worked for me on my visit but wonít work all the time. The food was typical US bar dishes. My salad was not the healthiest Iíve ever had but edible and made a welcome change from a burger and fries. Check it out and combine it with a visit to Half Acre over the road. The service was excellent and the wifi didnít let me down.

Visited after sampling at Half Acre. A great place with a surprisingly good and varied selection of draft and bottled beers. Founders KBS was on the menu, though unfortunately for us had run out. Good was reasonable, nothing special. Would certainly go back for the beer selection.

Visited August 2012.
Walked here with a friend on his suggestion. He said this was one of his favorite burger spots in the city, and the burger didnít disappoint. I was recommended the slow burn burger which was pretty good. There was a Sixpoint event going on where you got a raffle ticket for every beer purchased from them. Our group of three bought about a half a dozen beers that got us entries. Didnt win anything but thatís alright. Actually Iím not even sure why they wanted to win since the prize was a beer cruise on the lake with (presumably) all the same beers we were drinking that night. I guess the ride on the lake would have been nice.
The service was very friendly, possibly because they knew the people I was with. The prices were also reasonable. Nice location pretty close to Half Acre. Would return for the burgers alone but the beer lineup was decent.

Really cool pub across the street from Half Acre Brewery. After a nice tour at Half Acre I stopped in for a late lunch and was seated immediately on a Saturday. Friendly and prompt service. Very nice tap list full of local options and quite an extensive bottle list. The food was superb! Tons of burger options and all of them sounded ridiculously good. Of the three people I had lunch with, none were disappointed with their burger selection. DO NOT MISS the fried cheese curds!!!

Bad Apple is pretty much across the street from Half Acre. They have a really great draft list. Their menu theme is burgers, with about 20 different concoctions (thereís other things on the menu too). The good food is really delicious. Drafts are great and in constant rotation. There is really cool sculpture art and painting all over the wall. Bad Apple is absolutely worth a visit. If youíre from out of town, hit Half Acre Brewery and then come here for a burger. We had a really weird service moment once. The pour sizes werenít listed very clearly. Our beer came out in a 16 oz goblet and it was half full. I felt like I was getting shorted. After looking back at the menu we found the pour sizes. We asked the bartender about it and he said "they donít make glasses that size". Huh...? Pretty sure you can order almost any size/shape glass from the catalog... Other than an awkward misunderstanding, this place has always been pretty cool.

Went here on a lazy Saturday afternoon for some food and a couple rounds. Huge selection in bottles. The draft list was big too. Service was fine. The food wasnít anything earth shattering, but it was just fine. Iíll be back for sure.

Stopped in right after they opened on Sunday after running a race with my wife. Sat right at the bar. Very nice tap selection filled with some regional brews and a few one offs and special releases. Had the goat cheese fondue which was very good. Had a burger which was good, but thought it would be better given their reputation of having some the best burgers in the city. Staff was knowledgeable. Definitely worth a stop and I will be back.

More restaurant than bar, the food has always been very good. Think upscale pub food, very good burgers, and excellent fried cheese. Often changing very good tap list featuring a mix of American and import micros. Generally chill feel at the bar. This place does everything just a little bit better than others in the game.

I have had an extraordinary fondness for this corner bar/restaurant since the very first experience. The beer list is always changing and surprises often appear. I will forever love the Bad Apple, my first visit the place had KBS on tap, HOLY SHIT! I thought I was dreaming. The burgers are second to NONE. Go and eat and drink for yourselves, you will see what it is all about. LUV THIS PLACE!

Bad Apple is a nice bar, with an excellent selection of local craft beers. They were one of the first local bars to carry Two Brothers and Half Acre beer, respect!
