A classic Bavarian beer hall. Dark wooden interior and swift and efficient service. We didn’t stay long and I only had a "Schnitt" Festbier for 4 Euro. One of the best Oktoberfest Biers I have had. Maybe because it came fresh from a wooden barrel? Well worth a visit. (Visited September 28th 2016 with Bjarte1)
Good beer hall in berlin. Good beer, good service, outdoor and indoor seating. Not as big as the Hofbrauhaus but the beer at Augustiner is better. Only a few beers on offer, no modern craft beers, just augustiner hell, dunkel, radler(shandy) in 50cl or litre steins.
Visited Christmas Day 2015. Large beer hall, busy and on the pricey side of things, but hey, Augustiner. Can’t go wrong with that.

Big Munich style beer hall by the square and very busy and touristy as expected. Augustiner beers served in half litre and litre pours. I didn’t try the food but it looked to be what you would expect. Not really worth going to in the hunt for craft beer but a reasonable beer hall experience nonetheless.
Ikke noe sted for ølhunder. Betjening- sitat: vi har bare ordentlig øl, ikke sånn dårlig surt belgisk øl. Men maten var god

We visited here on Friday 15th November. This place is very large and certainly in a large Bavarian Beer Hall style, it was very busy when we got here, however we managed to get a seat and table close to the door. This was one of the closest decent bars to our hotel and I have to say we both quite liked it here. Despite the business the service was very good, the staff were friendly. Beer was excellent, though we both had bottles. The place had a nice buzz about it, food looked good. Yes we liked this place.
Quite large and beer hall like place at the Gendarmenmarkt. The place was pretty packed with tourists from all over the world. Not a cozy atmosphere, but still quite pleasant. Didn’t have any food, but it certainly looked tempting. Only had one beer here as a pit stop on our sightseeing walking trip from East to West. Quite friendly and efficient service. Not a must visit, but can be a convenient stop when nearby.
Large, noizy, arrogant, bad service, poor beer. Complete tourist trap.Worst service ive ever had. I chose not to give the waitor tips and he looked at me and laughed. The beers from Augustiner is avalaible all over Germany. Don’t drink them here.
Augustiner have chosen a huge corner plot for their Berlin outlet with Paulaner (Maximilians) and Lowenbrau both located close by for those that want a Bavarian Berlin beer hall crawl.
I’ve been in here three times now and although a bit expensive it is pleasantly done out and had a lot of money spent on it. My last visit was with a large party and we’d booked a table, we were escorted through to a back room via the kitchen: this smaller room was lovely, kitted out like a Bavarian Hut and the food fantastic, my Haxe done beautifully.
The beers have always been in good order and the service fine: what more do you need? Yes it is touristy, but tastefully done.
