Original atmosphere, open since 1678. Respect! I had Wild boar with bacon dumplings and fresh beer, which was very good, the Traditional ales are a great pairing. Average service.

Brewpub in old town. Good service, good food, good beer. Nice live music. Place not only for tourists- there were many Czech’s people inside.

Brewpub located in downtown. Well i don’t like this place too much. I feel this is clearly tourist trap. Beers are nothing special, you can find better food in town, staff is so, so. Of course you go there for beer ticks.

Some people might like this style, I don’t. The place looks as if time stood still in here since the 60’s or 70’s. It is clean but you have a sense of dirt being present. The toilets are full of the horrid stench of very cheap pissuar refresheners. The accordion player is ok per se, though it is not ok they charge you for his playing on the bill without informing you first. The goulash was nice, the light beer was ok, the dark one was better. Word is that they sometimes sell Pilsner-Urquell as their own house beer. On top of that, it’s the filtered version! Looks we’ve had luck with that. Service was neutral.

A classic Czech style restaurant/bar with two beers brewed at the place. Beers were decent, didn’t try the food. Some locals present, but most of all visited by tourists. Maybe worth visiting for the two new beers, but not a great place.

My night cap before I headed for my bed at Hotel Liberty just aroud the corner. I enjoyed the beer Svetla and Tmava but it was something about the atmosphere at U Dvou Koček that did not appeal to me. Crowded by tourists is good for business but can be bad for ambiance. (Visited 23rd February 2012)

we where some 20 swedish beer tasters, and this was the best dark beer we had for the whole week. We went for 9 brewereries, and some 15 other pubs for our 5 day stay- overall comment- this black beer is a must! before goint to the airport, this was the only and last resort for a last beer. The food is normal czech standard, nor better nor worse, but prizy. U Medviky 2 min away serves the same stuff at a higher cost.

Wow the beer is terrible. Diacetyl butter-bombs, highly acidic, dirty, poorly-made, poorly-kept. Make a massive rookie mistake by ordering food, though had company with me who basically insisted, and paid for it, quite literally. It’s a tourist spot so they’ll tack on music and service charges, the food is too expensive (for Czech Republic) and of poor quality, and service is tremendously poor. Really should have avoided this place, hope you do.
