66 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 9/15 FOOD 9/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 13/20
When I visited: Late September 2014.
What I had: Two arugula salads, bottle of Port City Porter and a Yalie Pizza for me, glass of sauvignon blanc and a Stanley Pizza for my fiancť, Chocolate Chip Cookie to split.
What I liked: Laidback, no frills ambience on the patio with a great view of the streetscape, delicious and well-priced food, waitress was very friendly, love the ping pong theme (even though we didnít play), we enjoyed our food and drinks.
What I disliked: Service was slow since it was our waitressís first day on the job, beer selection is solid but limited, washroom was difficult to find, as we were leaving the place started to get overrun with loud, obnoxious children.
Would I go back? For the excellent food, yes. But Comet is more of a pizza joint than a beer bar.
Overall Rating: 66

Great pizza and a few good beers. The ping pong gimmic and jammed in seating get old fast

A pizza restaurant with an okay draft list. They donít really serve non-craft here, but beer is not the focus so mostly some standard available crafts along with some DC beers. Not really a beer destination.

Thi is one of two places I know of in the district that has bare walls and floors, untouched after the renovation of whatever was here earlier. Ping pong and other games in the back, so its s good place to take the kids, and enjoy one of five local beers, plus other stuff. Pizza is not bad by DC standards, which are pretty low, unfortunately. Small for the price.

Nice pizza place. I wouldnít put it up there as best in the city (2 Amys and Pizza Paradisio are both much better, imo) but it is very, very good, high quality pizza.
Iíve started my review talking about the food because outside of itís ping-pong tables and theme its what this bar is all about. Meaning its not that great for beer.
Side note: For that saw it on Diners, Drive-ins and dives it is none of the above. Itís a high end pizza joint and had no business being on that show.

Trendy place on upper Connecticut, about the only place to go in between Van Ness and Chevy Chase. The crowd is very hipster on the weekend and they have some local ítalentí playing music. The waiters and waitresses all bother me in some way or another but the pizza and wings are very good and the fact again that it is the only place to get a drink around that area, i have to deal with their teal glasses and golden rectangle tattoos.
