cool takes on classic styles, with some oddities that they always seem to pull off - worth a stop.

Visited in the evening on Monday June 29, 2015. Fairly big restaurant like place, some seating outside as well. Possible to grab various types of flights. Grabbed a flight of their regular 7 beers, sampled a few from my friends and also had two sample pours of seasonal beers. Service was OK, even though not too many people were there was to the slow side. Had a bratwurst with sauerkraut and some sides, was OK. Could go back to sample more of their beers. Walked over from Base Camp, not very far.

Outdoor patio which is basically an outcrop into the parking lot with a temporary tent/canopy. Decent sized building with a bar and some regular dining room space.
A lot of beers on tap, like 16 of them. Wowe. They do a sampler of everything and it was pretty cheap...worked out to be about a buck each. Ran into Gription79 and his wife Bonnie here and we split the sampler (thanks for letting me barge in, guys). Beer quality was pretty medicore, but a couple decent ones.
Friendly bartender who tossed us a couple extra samples for free, which was nice. He was also on top of things.
Not a bad place, but the beer just isnít that great. I wouldnít go out of my way to come here, but our hotel was really, really close by. So, kind of "had" to go.

Large nice patio, large bar and a nice bistro atmosphere. Service was great, I just happened to be sitting with the owner, so it may not be that good when you go. Selection is huge with a do it all sample platter for cheap. I didnít eat but the kitchen is open and looks good. Beer is OK, but nothing special. Considering the competition in the vicinity, I would give it a miss unless you have the time.

My hotel was next to this place so visited this place at least 3-4 times. Food was better than average and service OK. House beers OK but nothing special.

You know, whenwever someone says letís head down to Burnside Brewing Iím all, "yeah!" But this place never fails to disappoint. The beer is always so-so, even though some of it looks really exciting on the menu. Youíre either stuck in the awkwardly shaped restaurant, crowded on the long tables out side or standing in line for an hour at the, in my experience, poorly managed fruit beer festival. Stop in to have a beer on a weekday lunchtime but donít fret about missing this one if you visit.

Visited on Saturday 08/11/14 around 8pm.
Medium to large single room venue with a slight L-shaped annex to the side by the bar where we sat. Place was busy with evening diners, had more of an eatery feel than that of a place where folks came for the beers.
11 beers on tap including a couple of guests and you could get a 4oz pour of any for a very reasonable $1.
Bar service was really good bearing in mind they were also contending with lots of drink orders to go with the food.
Beer choice was ok, encompassing a number of styles, house beers ranged from so so to ok, nothing special.
In summary, we were in the neighbourhood already so thought weíd drop by, certainly not a go to destination in PDX though, definately outside my top 10. We didnít eat here, food looked good and that seemed to be the bulk of their business.

Great expansive tasting room right on Burnside on the east side of town. Beer quality is above average, the prices are really reasonable and the service was excellent. Didnít try the food as there didnít seem to be much for vegetarians/vegans. Worth a stop when in the area.

Yellow King, trippy type artwork and chill vibe. Good food and friendly service. Beer selection was plentiful with 12+ of their own beers offered. Reasonable prices and beer quality was solid. Didnít have anything flawed, but nothing that blew me away. Worth a drop in if you are nearby, but I wouldnít add it to a "must stop" list for Portland.
