Wow what a find, this is a great beer shop, loads of amazing beers, and very knowledgeable about the beers they sell. How beer shops should be.

This bottle shop carries a modest beer selection, primarily from the UK, all arranged alphabetically. The staff is helpful and the dog enjoyed the free petting as it made sure I was making proper beer selections.

Excellent range of British and international beers, well organised, with impressive tasting notes for each. Prices are fair, with some very hard to find ones in there. I think I may have gone at the wrong time because sadly the woman serving seemed moody and disinterested, but apart from this a great range of beers and well worth a visit.

We visited here back in late May 2011. Great store which actually is very welcome for these parts since the cracking little Ken Sheathers beer shop closed. Good selection of local beers, in fact a very good selection and there is a decent selection of Belgian and continental beers that isn’t to be sniffed at. The cider and perry selection is also pretty decent as well. This is a good roomy store to browse in as the beers are all around the edge of the shop as opposed to being in rows. Excellent place to pop into when I am visiting my brother. I visited here again 11.02.12 and have to say that this place is even better with a greater range of beers, including a decent Danish selection and stuff from Nogne, Magic Rock and Kernel, really impressive shop and 10% off for CAMRA members, rapidly becoming possibly one of the finest beer stores in the country.

Visited over Easter on Downender’s recommendation below and I was certainly impressed, particularly with the selection of local beers. The service is easy going and friendly giving you plenty of time to make your selections, i hate being rushed in this. I couldn’t get a mobile connection though, so I had to purchase on instinct. Reasonable USA and Belgian imports as well, definitely worth a visit if you are anywhere near.

Recently opened shop that sells a wide range of bottled ales and ciders, and some international beers (mainly Belgian but with some German and American). There are over 200 ales, including both local Gloucestershire beers such as Donnington, Prescott and Bristol Beer factory, and ones from other parts of England which rarely make an appearance in these parts, including Norfolk, Northumberland and the East Midlands. Ciders number about 80, with a wide range of Gwatkins, Sarah’s and Dunkertons, and rare local examples from Clive, McCrindles and Pershore College. Service was friendly and knowledgeable. Easily the best beer shop in Gloucestershire, I would have to travel as far south as Tuckers Maltings to find a rival in the South west.
