Bottle shop with a great selection of regional and world beers. It is expensive though.

I visited here again 14th May 2016 Not sure that I have taken the time to explain where this shop is in my previous reviews. It is located on Hewlett Road on the eastern side of Cheltenham, itís about a ten minute walk from the centre and like much of this town itís in a very nice area.

This really is a great place, itís layout is great less cluttered than many other bottle shops with the beers all around the outside walls save for a little island in the middle. There are a few sofas, chairs, tables near the front of the store where you can drink a beer on site, they have about 4 kegs to select from (Thornbridge Galaxia, plus an Arbor Chilli. Mango beer amongst those on our visit) or for a 50p charge on top of the price you can drink a bottle or can from the shelves.

The choice seems to have expanded further since my last visit 4 years ago, the lady serving was excellent the shop getting busy she never once got flustered and was so friendly and helpful. This is an excellent store and for Cheltenham a perfect fit, prices are higher than Beer Gonzo and Cotteridge but then I guess they are buying and shifting much more. If you are close by its well worth a visit here

I visited here again 11th February 2012 and have to say that this place is even better with a greater range of beers, including a decent Danish selection and stuff from Nogne, Magic Rock and Kernel, really impressive shop and 10% off for CAMRA members, rapidly becoming possibly one of the finest beer stores in the country.

We visited here back in late May 2011. Great store which actually is very welcome for these parts since the cracking little Ken Sheathers beer shop closed. Good selection of local beers, in fact a very good selection and there is a decent selection of Belgian and continental beers that isnít to be sniffed at. The cider and perry selection is also pretty decent as well. This is a good roomy store to browse in as the beers are all around the edge of the shop as opposed to being in rows. Excellent place to pop into when I am visiting my brother.

Fantastic little bottle shop! Impressive selection of British beers including some great local ones from the area, all arranged alphabetically by brewer, with tasting notes on the price labels. Decent range of Belgian, German, American and other imports such as Mikkeller, Nogne and Einstok. Prices were reasonable. Staff absolutely ideal, was left to browse in peace and they were extremely friendly, helpful and knowledgeable when asked about certain beers. In case you need more reasons to go there they also have a great selection of cider and perry, as well as a range of wines and even a few bottles of mead.
Shop itself is very nice, spacious, and has comfy seating. One final reason to go - they have a shop dog (Ruby), a beautiful golden retriever who unfortunately was out for a walk while I was there. Iíll just have to go back again soon and hope sheís there next time! Definitely check this place out if youíre in the area.

Probably the best beer shop in the country. Great selection, knowledgeable and passionate staff and a nice sofa to chill out on. Tried some great beers from Hop Valley, Flying Dog and a couple of incredible beers from Glastonbury Ales. Iíve not even tried the cider section yet. Stop reading and go there.

Visited on Saturday afternoon in August 2015. Happened to be walking past and popped in. Great range of beer facing me with beers from across the UK as well as Europe and the USA. Prices were decent, the staff were very friendly. Could have spent a lot longer looking at the beers but had a prior engagement, this meant I bought a few beers but not as many as I would like. Iíd go back and a great bottle shop

Excellent bottle shop. The selection is uniformly impressive across the local, national, European and world beers - an especially good place to find specials from Bristol and West Country breweries like Moor, BBF and Wild Beer. Belgian section is comprehensive, with larger format bottles, seasonal Cantillon and other lambics on the shelf. Although not my area of expertise, they stock a huge amount of cider and perry. Prices vary from reasonable to bargain territory. As if that wasnít enough to recommend about the place, they have a shop dog (a golden retriever). Arguably the best bottle shop outside of a major city in the UK.

Best beer shop in Cheltenham. Have a decent selection of local beers and a fair few from the likes of Arbor Ales and Bristol Beer Factory. Quite a reasonable selection of American stuff from Stone, Rogue, Sierra Nevada etc. They also have a large Belgian section but seeing as I go quite regularly, I didnít check this out. They also have a good range of bottled ciders as well as a few boxed ciders. There are a couple of comfy looking sofas and magazines so you can drink on the premises too. Oh and donít forget the friendly shop dog Rosie!

This bottle shop carries a modest beer selection, primarily from the UK, all arranged alphabetically. The staff is helpful and the dog enjoyed the free petting as it made sure I was making proper beer selections.
