Restaurant/beer pub next to some old church. Very old building and beautiful place. Beer selection was very good for Tallinn and proper glasses were present also.

Nice cellar bar in the old town. Great atmosphere and a nice selection of beer both on tap and in bottles. Didn’t try the food. Certainly a place worth a visit - it on my list of places to re-visit when I’m going back to Tallinn.

Neat cellar joint in the middle of Tallinn’s most touristy area. Fairly easy to get to while visiting. Interesting tap list that I had no idea what to select, but enjoyed. Food is meh, but snack-worthy. Worth a stop if you happen to be in Estonia.

Visited here just after opening time. Cellar pub which name Põrgu means Hell. In Tallinn standard excellent selection. And they have Taako Pihtla koduõlu on tap. They had also Sillamae Hele, which is rare. Didn’t eat.

Cellar bar. I remember this place 10 years ago. They were first pub in Tallinn to serve Viru Nigula (now closed) unpasteurized beers on tap. Now going there again after all those years this place has done some very good progress. Good selection of beers, crown jewels Taako Pihtla and Paulaner Salvator @tap. Food menu is very simple. As staff said, choosing what to drink gives you enough thinking, why bother doing same with food? Food is good. I went there on Friday night and it was almost all booked out, so beware.

A good place to visit for Estonian beer as they stock Pihtla, but also some beers from Karksi, as well as the usual suspects. Quite cosy and rustic. Didn’t try the food.

A great basement pub that is seemingly carved out of stone. A lot of low light and cast iron. Lots of taps including Pihtla (which one needs to try if in Tallinn). Low light and quite cozy. Didn’t eat while I was in, but a few people seemed to be enjoying theirs. Soft music and a friendly bartender - another winning pub.

New to Tallinn, and finally a place that brings Taako Pihtla to town! Cellar bar, and due to the fact it hasn’t picked up much support felt a bit sterile. A few Brits appeared later, and they didn’t improve he atmosphere much. Beer selection is very good for Tallinn and Estonia, but smaller than both Hell Hunt’s (40-50+) and Drink Baar’s (50-60+), but this has one killer WIN - Taako Pihtla. Food is proper fancy style muck, so be prepared to go out for some proper grub after nibbling on a main course there. But don’t take that as an insult, the chicken with parmesan was beautiful, and the gently smoked salmon was lovely. If the food’s not enough, then just grab yourself another pint of Pihtla! Or two, because you know after you’ve had one, you’ll want another anyway. The member of staff who served us was very friendly, and the music was very much aligned with what my ears like. Did I mention Taako Pihtla? ’Cos you can get it here! (Update - Kodu Baar has it too, now, and it’s sometimes on better form there, as it’s always fresh.)
