Dark place, nice ambiance. I had just eaten but the menu looked solid. Bartender was friendly and knowledgeable. Large draft list with lots of local and non-local options, and some rarities. Decent prices. Definitely a worthwhile stop.
They do flights, food is ridiculously good (quinoa mushroom burger was absurd). They do house-made ketchup thatís really really good. Plus their guacamole is ridiculous. Add to that, a well-laid out beer menu, and something like 50-100 taps and youíre talking about a good place. A+.
Right across from my hotel (and from Town Hall too). Long bar, tables, large backroom times two. Pretty stained glass windows. Large beer list, but they were out of a handful of things. Flights of four available, although the menu says six. Friendly service. Great place.
I love everything about this place - huge tap list, great options for flights and small pours, really good food, awesome atmosphere in a great location, good prices. Iíve been here twice - once for late-night drinks and once for Sunday brunch - and unfortunately the service wasnít great. Decent Saturday night, somewhat poor Sunday morning. Otherwise, fantastic experience.
Iíve been coming here for a long time (since they opened 4 or 5 years ago), but never rated the place. Superb tap list (100). Nice deal on flights (4 6oz pours for $12) and the best happy hour in the Twin Cities ($2 off all beers from 4-6pm, every day). Food is a little pricy, but quite good. Huge patio for 6 months of the year when it is not fucking cold here. Right across the street from Town Hall - make sure to hit both if you are visiting!
An excellent craft beer destination with interesting and varied gastropub food offerings.
Long bar with a multitude of tap handles. Very nice wood and brick interior with lots of beautiful stained glass panels. Outstanding variety of beers and ciders, with many world class (e.g., St. Bernardus ABT 12; Triple Karmeliet; La Trappe Quad) and limited beers on tap. A fairly up to date lists of taps is available on their website. Flights available.
Large space with a segregated dining area. I sat at the bar and didnít bother to check out the restaurant side. The tap list was large, but a bit light on locals. I settled with a Furious to go with my dinner. The food was OK, nothing to rave about. Prices werenít cheap (though it seems they have pretty good happy hour deals). Service was transactional, not especially friendly.

I enjoyed the food and the beer, but I really liked the well worn interior of this place. The outside seating in front of the Republic was very lively. Definitely worth a detour
