Stopped in on my way from Boston to New York. Hit right at lunch hour on a Tuesday and the parking lot was packed. Bummer. Parked around the corner in the Home Goods lot. 52 beers on tap, plenty of locals. All beers priced at $6 or $7 which was awesome. Nice menu, soup and sandwich lunch special was very tasty. Excellent service. I would definitely make this a pit stop again.

When we came here on a monday-afternoon, we found the door closed because of the preparations for a private party (a breast-cancer fundraiser - sold out) later that day. As we came from far, the owner let us in for a beer on his costs. At the end we stayed the whole evening, enjoying great food and included beerparing from New England. The rest of the taplist was great as well, and the crew did their best to make it a great evening. And in the end, they didnít want us to pay for it! Ofcourse we donated something for the fundraiser ...
Great place with, as you understand, big credits for the owner and his crew.

Visited on a Friday evening after the dinner rush. Still very busy. Lots of families. Beer list is very solid. Pizza was very good. Service was above average.

This place has a large bottle menu and a rotating tap list. Prices are a little high but it worth it. You can get a flight of any four beers on tap for a flat price. The thinnest pizza I have ever had and good too. Service was quick.

have been a few times now and the food has been consistently good with the pizza being very good. beer selection is fairly large for bottles but what they have is well picked. the draft beer changes quickly with a dozen taps and they have good high quality stuff as the focus.

Coalhouse Pizza is a jazz/blues themed pizzeria that has a vast array of delicious and unique brick oven pizza recipes and a dozen microbrews on tap with hundreds of bottles as well. Coalhouse is in a clutch location right on the edge of downtown Stamford, so itís easy to find parking. The service is solid and owner is always around offering beer samples. Coalhouse has become my favorite beer/pizza spot in Fairfield county. With 52 taps their rotation is always changing. Iíve seen Captain Lawrence, Victory, Oskar Blues, Boulder, Dogfish Head, Avery, etc on tap.
