My first visit to Worcester, so very pleased that this was indicated as a good choice on Ratebeer. The fridges were full of international beer, most of which I was familiar with, but there were a few beers from the county and surrounding counties on tap, which was of most interest. The food is predominantly burgers and hotdogs, which were good, even though I didnít really get the brioche with hotdog thing as it was a bit too bready. A nice mix of people. Friendly, informed service.

The Fabulous FIrefly! One of my favourite pubs in the whole country. Matt runs a tight ship on great draught selections, both keg and cask as well as a carefully selected bottle offering and sometimes even his own from his nano-brewery out back. Each room in the pub is stylized to within in inch of perfection without being overdone and the outside seating areas set the whole thing off. The food is quality (could do with slightly bigger portions though) and the drinks value is superb.
Also, when not in a beery mood the spirits and liqueurs here are interesting and plentiful.
An absolute gem of a place and puts Worcester on the craft map single-handedly.

Visited 21/3/2014. No Firefly beers were available when we visited, but a decent selection was still on offer, including Magic Rock and Dark Star. Atmosphere was fairly lively, but I am not sure I would go out of my way to visit this place again.

Really enjoyed my all to brief stop off at this pub. Great selection of world beers on cask, craft keg (donít like the term, but others use it) and bottle. In short they stock some really good beers I know, some I didnít!

Only craft beer pub worth a visit in Worcester. Plenty of other good real ale pubs but if you want good craft keg beer from all over the world than this is the only place. Brooklyn, Lagunitas and Flying Dog next to Thornbridge, Moor, Kernel & Beavertown when I was last there. All 4 cask beerís were from the onsite micro brewery. A couple of hoppy pales, a hoppy black ale and a chocolate porter. Cool decor and very cozy with a real open fire. Unsure what the below comment about weird opening times is about. They are displayed on the wall next to the front door. Pubs that open before 4 in the week are usually full of weird ale trolls and wizards in sandals to be fair!

A well observed conversion of the old vinegar works offices, in fact it doesnít look pub like from the outside. We did become rather frustrated with its weird opening hours and then non appearance when it was supposed to be open, forcing me into a shopping run in the nearby Asda, unforgivable. They donít appear to be brewing at present, something to do with faulty equipment, all in all not the best of visits for us. Hopefully it will improve next time.

Visited here quite a few times over the last few years and this really is getting to be the best pub in Worcester. In fact Loz and I spent a couple of hours in here yesterday (Sat May 19th 2012) along with my mum and it really was a struggle to leave. On tap there was Magic Rock Carnival, Kinver Summit, Otley OíGarden, Freedom Stout, Freedom Four along with two real ciders from Sandford Orchard and more taps with Belgian and others available. The music choice was great as well and the furniture so comfy and decor very interesting. Yep as much as I like the Plough this is now my favourite place in Worcester, I visit here 2-3 times a year and everytime it has improved. Great bottled beer selection as well and staff really pleasant, Further update 4th January 2014 getting better and better. On this occasion they had Kernel Pale Ale, Kernel Export Stout, Beavertown 8 Ball, Lagunitas IPA, Italian Brewery forgot name Spaceman IPA/Pale Ale etc, etc all on keg and more. On cask was Firefly Black, Tiny Rebel Hank, Otley Saison Obscura etc. All in all another great visit, background music was just right, ambiance was great, the lovely green sofa still as comfy as ever, love this place. Rating upped to 90 now.

Getting better and better with an increasingly interesting range of cask ales, mainly of the pale & hoppy variety! There is rumoured to be a brewery on-site now (a very small one so Iíve heard) so it may soon become a brewpub....
