Iíll need to revisit this place at some point in the future. I showed up around dinner time and they were telling people that they really need a reservation otherwise itíll be several hours. Only about a third of the tables were being used. I opted to sit at the bar. All the seats were taken up so I stood, along with one other person that couldnít sit down. Well 10 minutes of trying to get the attention of the bar tender later I walked out. Iíd like to try the food but I wouldnít come here just for the beer. Two moonlight taps was it for draft. They have some classics in the bottle like Beersel, Russian River, and Anchor but I wouldnít call this a good beer bar. As mentioned, Iíll have to come back for the food but I was not impressed by the beer or the service.

My favorite restaurant in SF. Awesome wine list, great cocktails, blue bottle coffee and Iíd say a good enough bottle and draft list for beers. The food is outstanding. Spend an evening here..reservations a day or so in advance is important or sit at the community table or bar if youíre a walk in. This was where I had special events like anniversaries and valentines day. get any dish that has goat cheese.

80 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD 9/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 16/20
The draw here is more the food (and I suppose the liquor), but itís a pretty decent beer place, too. They had two Moonlight taps on, some pretty good bottles, and a ton of whiskey. The food is fantastic, I had roasted squab and also had a salad of shaved brussels sprouts, pickled onions, bacon, and a poached egg. Itís definitely expensive, but it was an excellent experience overall.

Well, this is really a restaurant, but since it is already here, and since they do have a few interesting bottles... here goes. The food is fabulous! The staff is very friendly and courteous. The wine sommelier knows his stuff, and they have at least a passing knowledge of the bottles they serve. Go for the food, enjoy a good beer while you are at it.
