The beer place in Croix-Rousse. 10 or so taps and enough bottles to keep you happy. An understandable emphasis on local brew, but you can fetch Belgians or US craft as well. Wasn’t clear on the food situation. One not to miss if you are in the area.

As a bar, this place is pretty great. It was packed on the night that we came and everyone seemed to be having a really good time. Beers were all in hands and baguettes were all on tables. However, for a ratebeerian, this place might come as a disappointment. The beers are mostly corporate Belgian ales, and they don’t seem to rotate very much. French beers are almost entirely not represented. There appear to be three rotating taps, but even those beers were not too exciting. The beers on tap were priced well, but were almost all beers that I could have easily picked up at a bottle shop in the US. Bartenders were nice (but spoke limited English, which is fine, as we spoke enough French to get by). Service was rapid even though the bar was packed to the brim.

Nice enough place but is pretty much exactly the same as ’The Beers’ near Gare St-Paul.

Very nice place, opened just a month ago, fresh "modern" pub interior. Staff extremely friendly, good music. Mostly Belgian beers, but a good selection both taps and bottles fom 33 cl to magnums. Absolutely worth a visit if you are in town.
