Kamikaze is a really nice addition to the Osaka beer scene. It is located a bit west of Amemura so easily accessible if you are out and about in Namba. I had heard it was small and crowded so I was kind of surprised at how big it was. Itís a nice long place with concrete walls and nice wooden tables, cool beer related scrawls on the wall and a long line of beer bottles for decoration. The staff were friendly and seemed keen on beer. Maybe they currently arenít experts but they are eager to learn which is great.
There are 23 taps with most being Japanese craft but they also have a decent amount of American craft beer on tap too. They also seem to have beer events every once in awhile, which is nice. They bill themselves as an Italian food + craft beer bar and the food has received high marks (though I havenít tried it yet). I think they should do an Italian Craft Beer tap takeover event sometime. That would be cool.
All in all a great place which is definitely worth checking out. It seemed to be popular with ladies so itís a great place for a date I bet!

Much improved as they are settling in. Good selection on tap--many of the Japanese craft beers are widely available, but there are usually a few that are harder to find, and there are more American draughts now as well. Food is very good. The place is tight, though, so the best thing is to get there early or make a reservation, and sit at the end of the bar if you can. Prices are a bit above average.

Nice place with a good selection of Japanese cb. The staff is pretty friendly and helpful. The only problems lie in how cramped the place is, and some of the customers. A lot of large groups of already plastered (or acting like drunken idiots because theyíre about to have a half pint, and one must revert to a high school boy when a snifter is presented) seem to be attracted to the place because of its location. Not Kamikazeís fault, but 6 guys all exclaiming "マジ⁉" every ten seconds, gets really old. Go early to Kamikaze.

Nice atmosphere and the beer selection was alright if not mostly standard Japanese micros. The service was quick and efficient but came off just a little cold. We had a pizza and the shrimp avocado salad which were both great. Like a lot of the other pars in Osaka Iíve been to so far, theyíd be much improved with just a few more interesting taps.
update: went back and the tap list was quite a bit better so maybe my first experience was just off

Pretty nice inside with a big counter. 23 taps, mostly lower alcohol Japanese craft beers, but a decent variety. I had a nice pizza but didnít try anything else. Service was good and the interior is really nice. The owner Ryuta knows the beers well and always gives good recommendations.

Visited on a Saturday night during their first week. Sleek, clean, fancy, shiny metal and wood. Light jazz/pop on the sound system. Staff were attired in black trousers and fancy white shirts. Not really pub-like; maybe more of a beer bistro. Bar seats 12 people, and small tables for 20 (but then six people somehow squeezed into a space for four, right next to us). Really tight and narrow. I was backed up against the wall. Tap list was adequate, but not really exciting or inspired. 23 taps and not really much of anything that I reallly wanted to try. Good selection of tapas. Also a variety of others: several types of fries, pizza, pasta, snack, and sweets. A bit pricey now at Y1,200 for a UK pint. Itíll be worthwhile to go back in a month or two to see if the tap list selection has improved. If not, I doubt that Iíll be visiting this place much in the future.
