78 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 17/20
I was very pleasantly surprised by the good service I had tonight, it was friendly and I had some good advice about beer selections. Reading past reviews I was not expecting it. I was even offered a sample tasing of the featured craft beer of the day when seated. The beer prices are out of place but the food was not.I did have the chance to try some german craft beers I had not seen before. The Hopfenstopfer Seasonal Special Ale was very good as was the food.i will be back.

Food-oriented venue near the Konzerthaus. Stopped by for lunch and was impressed by the food - quality of the sausages was a step up from the local imbiss. Service a bit snooty and stand off-ish. Some German breweries I hadn’t seen before, and impressive range of bottles to take away (FW including Parabola). Didn’t see a full price list for the cellar but 6 euros for the Hopfenstopfer IPA seemed okay (although having said that, I’m used to London rip-off pricing!)

Overrated beer bar. The selection is great, but the prices are exceptional high. Why should you pay almost 10 euro for an Orval if you can pay the half of it somewhere else in town? But maybe it’s the only American beer bar in town (...) The ambianse was very nice and the food was oke, but i think we don’t gonna visit this place in the future.

A bit of a fancy restaurant with a small foreign selection of beers as well as different Braumanufactur beers. The food is good, almost sausages only, and the service is friendly. A little overpriced I think. To "drink in" the beers were very expensive. 35-40 Euro’s. 1/3 of the price if you bought them to go . Not a place to hang out but a place you go for a good meal and a good time. Had a chocolate dessert with Firestone Parabola. Lovely.

Visited about 2 weeks ago with my Mexican friend. Restaurant looked nice and fine. There was Leffe Blond on craft beer tap. We got sample biers and snacks. Bottled bier selection was kinda nice. The cuckoo clocks and the noise were little bit annoying. One of the coolers didn’t work (the one that’s nearest to the toilets) so beers there were warm. We had bought also takeaway beers and some of the biers were gone bad. Sausages would have been good if we would have had those at Imbiss for 2 euro, but at the restaurant it was far too expensive for that quality. We also were really surprised, how expensive beers were. For example Double Jack to take away 11.99 € and to drink it there 42 euros. The Berliner art we drank there was 13.50 and to take away the cost 6.75 €. I’ve never been at so expensive beer restaurant in the world and
I come from Finland. Do they have different prices for tourists? The service was little bit slow and impolite and rude.

Really a place I would like to bring my parents :-) really a great place. You feel so very welcome in this spacy place, lots of cuckoo clocks ( all in diffent times, so now and then one of them makes a noise ), nice deco, different tabels and chairs, funny lamps.... Large open kitchen where they do the meat and sausages on open fire. Quit a lot of bottle beers, either to drink in the pub or to take away. Some of the BraufaktuM beers you can buy as samples.
Next time in Berlin, i will be back!!! :-)

Went there for dinner on my Berlin trip. There was a big party going on while we were visiting, but luckily there was plenty of room available. We got a small amuse with a fabulous beer pairing, the Colonia from BraufactuM. Nice selection of exclusive German beers and very nice US bottles. Also Belgian bottles available. Food was nice, only not that much as I’d hoped for, but flavour was awesome. The Chocolate&Choclate desert paired with Firestone Walke Parabola was absolutely wonderfull. Most beers they sell on their menu were also available in a small bottle shop in the front of their restaurant. Must visit place when in Berlin.

Visiting alone in early September, I was greeted by friendly, helpful staff. The menu offers an excellent selection from the major brewing nations. I stuck to small German breweries, enjoying a couple of very well-balanced IPAs and a decent veggie plate (there’s plenty for carnivores too). It’s a beautiful room in a central (albeit side-street) location, and you should thoroughly enjoy your visit. The only catch is that you’ll really pay for it unless you select carefully: most bottles are priced at Norwegian levels, with high-end US, Belgian and Italian bottles perhaps twice as expensive as in central London.

Nice clean nordic style beer restaurant. Grilled sausage, good beers... good selection. When busy, you can get samples (100ml) of most bottled beers. We got a welcome beer and snack, not too interesting but nice gesture.
