The only place I have found where you can drink decent craft beer that is not German beer types. Almost only German micros of different types like Wedding, Braukunstkeller, Hopfenstopfer Maisel etc. Also some German micros on tap. Of course prices are high compared to other places in Berlin which serve Weissbier and similar, but in my opionon it is still good value for money. The food is great too, focusing on German cuisine with a modern touch. A must try is the sausages. Very friendly staff and the bar men knows everything about the beer they serve. I have visited the place on several occassions and every time I have been impressed by beer, food and service. By far the best craft beer place in central parts of Berlin, a must try.

Visited on an early Monday afternoon in September 2014. A pleasant and rather big place with outdoor and indoor seating. Nice selection of beers although expensive for being Germany. A 33cl bottle of Wedding Pale Ale cost 7.10 EUR. Good and friendly service. The Thüringer Bratwurst was tasty.

Lovely place near Gendarmenmarkt. Nice interior and tables outside in the summer. Good selection of German micros and food. Had a classic flammkuchen and a nice pale ale from Heidenpeters. Convenient location and friendly service. Recommended:

You will find this restaurant where the u-bahn stops almost right outside. Das Meisterstück has a warm and nice atmosphere. In general there’s a rustic feel inside with lots of wood and open flames, and with a visible kitchen. Eventually you discover that there’s also some odd things around as well. The restaurant focuses on typical German dishes with a modern twist, and has a strong focus on different types of sausage. Beer is also in focus and offers several craft beers from German micro breweries on tap, and with an otherwise rich beer meny. Unfortunately, they had a few of those beers that were on the menu. The restaurant is committed to combining foods and beers, and in the menu each dish is suggested a beer to match. The food was impeccable. A place that can be recommended for those who love real beer and food, but the restaurant should get a better track on the beer meny.

Pretty big place with tables at the front of place, tables indoor at the grill and outsite in the yard. Nice in the front, a lot of smoke (and no people) at the grill, crammed in the yard. Nice selection of raught and bottle beers, quite a few of them good local ones. Very expensive though. Chaos at the till when we wanted to pay separately.

Modern restaurant close to Gendarmarkt with a laid back relaxing vibe. Surprisingly high quality beer selection. In addition to German craft beers they also had some interesting imports including Parabola, Double Jack, Brooklyn Local 1 and 2, and Baladin Xyauyù. Service was good though a bit slow once I received my food. The waitress knew the beers well and gave some recommendations. Open plan kitchen so you can see the food being prepared. I had some currywurst which was tasty. Only downside was the high prices. Otherwise, a great place to visit in Berlin.

Located in the very centr of Berlin, this place is a cozy refuge from the business of the governmental and administrative busy life that surrounds it. A modern interior, fancy without being tacky. The selection is exceptional for a restaurant in Germany, although the beers are rather pricy (5-7 € per bottle). The food offered would satisfy every sausage lover, and the portions are ordinary, not German ;-) . The staff are very friendly but painfully slow, even if there are only few guests visiting the place. I will come back, for the sausages and the good German craft beer :-)

Arredamento stiloso.

I was very pleasantly surprised by the good service I had tonight, it was friendly and I had some good advice about beer selections. Reading past reviews I was not expecting it. I was even offered a sample tasing of the featured craft beer of the day when seated. The beer prices are out of place but the food was not.I did have the chance to try some german craft beers I had not seen before. The Hopfenstopfer Seasonal Special Ale was very good as was the food.i will be back.

Food-oriented venue near the Konzerthaus. Stopped by for lunch and was impressed by the food - quality of the sausages was a step up from the local imbiss. Service a bit snooty and stand off-ish. Some German breweries I hadn’t seen before, and impressive range of bottles to take away (FW including Parabola). Didn’t see a full price list for the cellar but 6 euros for the Hopfenstopfer IPA seemed okay (although having said that, I’m used to London rip-off pricing!)
