Friendly, but a little run-down. Not that it matters since the atmosphere is very nice, the service is good and, most importantly, the beer is good as well.

Very good selection at reasonable prices. Interior is lacking in atmosphere - the kind of generic beer pub seen the world over - and nothing like the Amsterdam original.. Good and knowledgable service. Much improved over the last year.

nice spot, prefer the one in Amsterdam. Had a great time here though. Food was very good, solid selection of both bottle & draft. worth the stop

Nice to sit outside and take in the city hall and Grotemarkt. They have a pretty interesting list with some rarities. Not very geeky, with lots of normal folks hanging outside drinking or eating. I liked it.

Nice spacious place in central Antwerp. Quite impressive tapline and bottle selection. Good service. Well worth a visit.

Visited during RBESG 2012.
Nice looking bar, spacious and eye for detail, like the grand chandelier. Prices are quite high for Belgian standards, and the tap selection is a bit unimaginative. Not bad, just -even while having about 20 taps- there was nothing to get really excited about.
The house beer is OK though, and it has a good atmosphere, so for it’s location it’s pretty decent. Just change the music: There is quite a lot of nice Belgian music as well.

Gollem looks like an old and rather grand brown café but apparently it opened relatively recently. There are some nice old fashioned touches such as the interesting ceilings and a magnificent chandelier on a level with a spindly little balcony which has a single table for six people. They have 30 beers on tap, including their own blond one, and a long bottle list. Despite that I was stuck for what to have so I asked for one of my favourites which wasn’t listed - a small bottle of 3 Fonteinen kriek. It was of course delicious but the mark up on the price verged on the criminal. The prices for other beers, particularly the draught ones, were more reasonable. The service was friendly enough but very slow.

Nice combination of traditional bar and modern spacious beer outlet. 30 Belgian taps of which about 10 less usual ones. Bottles also wide variety of types. Food tasty. Service friendly, knowledgable and very attentive. If you prefer dingy, grubby and surly, go elsewhere.

Visited during the Antwerp pub crawl leg of the RBESG 2013. Rather nice-looking old style bar in the center of Antwerp. Selection is nothing special, lots of standard Belgian beers, but I was happy to sit down to a St. Bernardus 12 for 3,30 euros.

Decent bar to get some Belgian beers if you haven’t tried a lot, but since you won’t find any rare beers there’s not much to find if you have already rated a lot of Belgian beers. The house beer is pretty decent though.
